This website or the Alt History site?

I am not seeing an issue with the Alt History "USFL Lives" Site, but let me know if you are.

Meanwhile, I am gearing up for the 2006-2007 offseason and then the 25th season of USFL football in 2007.   To commemorate that anniversary, the USFL will have each team wearing a patch.  the 12 founding franchises will have a patch with their original 1983 logo in the center, while all other teams will have one with the league's "U" logo at the center.  Here are examples of the two.

I'd love to see all of the original 12.

  2. Oakland because of stadium issues.

Also, the eastern winner of the current expansion push, also because of stadium issues. If Charlotte wins, I bet the Panthers don't make it easy for them. If Carolina wins, none of their 3 possible stadiums is very good. If Virginia wins, that's the worst stadium situation of all!

PS:  Just letting folks know that over the past few days the Virginia Destroyers have made a push, and are now 2nd behind Charlotte, with Carolina in 3rd.  You Surge fans may want to get some allies on board to vote for the Surge.

    I have no allies! 😟

OK guys, a Chris Creamer exclusive.  The three bids for the final 2008 expansion team should go live on Thursday, when the Week 7 Midseason Report is published, but I will release each bid here first, complete with team colors, nickname, logo, and helmet design.

Three very different designs and motifs for 3 very different bidding groups.  Today I will release the NC Triangle bid (including a special peak at their secondary logo which appears nowhere else unless this team becomes the winner.   Tomorrow I will release the Charlotte bid, and then Tuesday the Tidewater/Hampton Roads bid.

Voting will begin on Thursday, along with a comment section on the webpage where you can try to persuade your "fellow owners" at the owners' meeting to vote for the best bid.

So, here is your sneak peak at the Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill bid.... The Carolina Surge.

And a special extra peak, the secondary logo, which those of you old enough to remember the early days of the Arena Football League may recognize as a modified version of one of the classic Arenaball clubs.

What a great idea to use that Sacramento Surge logo, and to pull in the... Detroit Drive!

I say take v2, shorten the flag length, keep one of the stars to represent 2004, and Put ‘Ohio Glory’ where the other stars are

Nah, logos with words are no good. 97% of the time.
