I'd turn Arizona into purple and teal and they can go back to the state flag colors later.

Bandits could use another overhaul.

Dragons might need a retool, but that can wait another few years.

The top right logo can be simplified a little bit.

The mascot is a little hard to decipher on the silver sleeves.

Just pondering who to do minor tweaks to and who to overhaul as I get close to the 2000's in my alt history. 

 

The iconic teams I think would be the Express, Stars, Bandits and Wranglers. Especially the Stars because of the success they had in the Eighties.

 

Either way, I still would love for San Diego to get a USFL team at some point.

Yeah me too.

 

I think it was because the league ended up changing the logo for Super Bowl XXXVI midseason was what led to the generic branding we have now.

Another favorite of mine would be the field for XXV. Probably the best use of red, white and blue I've seen on any football field. Especially for a game that was played between two teams wearing identical colors.
