With the weather forecast for Santa Clara today, we should get a nice game with grass and paint stains on the jerseys. That's what football is supposed to look like.

GUD has Seattle in white over grey this weekend, is there an official source on that?

The NFL should have simply gone back to the 2012 rules that only allowed for a throwback alternate helmet. I'm not sure why they did what they did.

I like Baltimore's number font. It is both legible and distinctive, which is exactly what you want on a football jersey. I was not a fan of Baltimore's set, but adding the purple pants really breathed new life into it.

This means the Jets will end the season having worn their green jersey once.

I have a feeling the grey pants are supposed to be the primetime ones going forward. So for the night games at home. We'll see if that happens next year.

Jets at Seahawks would look so good if the Jets were in green pants. Still, the white pants are miles better than the black ones. 

It isn't ideal, but I will 100% take it over the all-navy.

Wow, this looks absolutely amazing. The Rose Bowl has such a great aesthetic. 

I don't think this is anything complex. The players like picking what they wear, and they're handed a bunch of options. Of course they're going to use combinations that might appear odd from a branding perspective, their interests are in wearing things they think look good and in continuing superstitions and stuff. That is not necessarily going to line up with what makes for an appealing uniform for anyone on the outside or for consistency that establishes a brand. 

Give people options, and they'll use them. 

I'll also add that monochrome is very much the norm in the other major US sports, and it is also very normal in fashion. You'd never tell someone their suit looked bad because it was the jacket and the pants were the same color, right? And white monochrome is historically normal in football, too. So give people with that background the ability to pick their uniforms, and of course they're going to pick that stuff. That's what's around them. 

So we don't know about the pants yet then. Please wear maize. 

Yet another reason not to watch Browns football.

While I dislike most of what the NBA has done with uniforms, having central planning for uniform matchups makes sense. As long as whoever makes those decisions has good taste, at least. 

Those mascot graphics just look like somebody took the old uniform and put a new logo on it, I wouldn't read anything into that.

Washington is poorly run, does anyone think they already have another brand ready to go for the future? They couldn't even put this one together in a timely manner. 

This look for the Commies comes with an easy nickname, at least.

You shouldn't be able to wear an alternate uniform in an AFC vs. NFC matchup unless its a throwback. 

I actually like these uniforms. As a once or twice a year thing, they're fun.

I don't even care that it's monochrome, I'm just happy to see the Jets wearing green again. This game has a pretty nice color matchup, too.

Jack Jones was wearing red-topped socks for the Pats last night, and I didn't hate the look. 

Looks like Cards in all-red tonight.

They hosted MNF this week last year and wore all-red for that one, too.
