The lime uniform would look so much better with either navy socks or navy pants.

So according to GUD, we only have two games for week 1 where we know nothing about what either team is wearing: New England at Miami and Los Vegas at LAC. I think white at home for Miami and powder blue for LA is a safe assumption, but I'm surprised neither the Dolphins nor the Chargers have announced uniforms. They've done that in the past.

When they wore the throwbacks before, we usually wouldn't know they were being worn until they broke out the helmets in practice.

So thanks to the keen eye of @MNtwins3, I went through the photos from that scrimmage to see what I could find.
Bingo! 6 and 81 wearing the new pants, with the others wearing the old. We have a physical confirmation!

Our first look at the Commanders. The jersey really isn't the worst thing in the world, all things considered. Swap out the black for yellow and throw some stripes on the pants and socks and it would be fine. I could even live with the weird pattern, I think.

It's strange to me that the Patriots' silver pants have been confirmed, but not seen or announced yet. I can't tell if they want to wait to announce them for a specific game, or if they're just keeping it low-key and they'll show up wearing them on a random Sunday.
I'm also not going to be shocked if we see them on the road before we see them at home, that seems like something the players would like. Can get the ICY road look and then the TOUGH all-blue at home.

If we're talking about uniform matchups that haven't happened, the Dolphins have yet to play the Patriots wearing aqua over white in their 2013/2018 set. We've seen the Dolphins wear the aqua over white throwbacks and aqua over aqua on multiple occasions against New England in that timespan, but never aqua over white.
In a similar situation, the Jets have not worn green over white against New England in their new set and that will not change this year. The Jets have worn all-white for the last three meetings, including one at MetLife, wore all-black in 2020, and green over green with white socks in 2019. They already announced they're wearing black against New England this year, so it will take year 4 in the new set at the earliest for the Jets to wear their default home uniform against a division rival.

The Bengals haven't worn black jerseys against KC since 2009. They really love the awful color matchup I guess. At least they did it with black pants last year, that wasn't as bad.

A minor story I'm following ahead of New England's first preseason game next week: NOBs. The Pats currently have four Joneses on the roster, and three of them are defensive backs. Should all four need to differentiate their jerseys, we end up with Ja. Jones, Jo. Jones, Mar. Jones, and Mac Jones all as names on the back of jerseys. I don't think that'll happen, especially with Mac, but I don't know the requirements around this. Having three guys with the same last name at the same position will likely require at least the Jo. Jones, Ja. Jones, and M. Jones names.

This season, Carolina will only wear blue jerseys twice, in the preseason at Washington and in Week 17 at Tampa Bay. Typically, league rules allow a team to wear alternate jerseys three times in a season, but the Panthers received an exception to wear black as one of the alternate uniforms for the blackout game against Atlanta.
So does that mean preseason games count towards the number of times you can wear an alt?

I've always found it interesting that we never talk about the socks with this uniform. Obviously they're striped, but white socks with with pants to go with a colored jersey is a combination we usually don't like on this forum.

It's just as bad as you think with the full uniform.

They're wearing them against the Patriots on Halloween weekend, the Bears, and the Jaguars.
This will be the second time they've worn the Stealth Black against both the Pats and the Jags. It'll be fun to get the Jags in black-white-black-black at the Jets in black-black-black-black.

I hope we get the Giants in their Color Rush throwbacks as well. That would be a fantastic looking game.

Good use of a throwback!

The good thing about the Giants is that they basically only have good uniforms to choose from. Even if it isn't your favorite look, they look good in either grey or white pants. They look good with red on the road, they look good with blue on the road. It really is a matter of preference above all else, they don't have abominations in their past.

That is... not Washington's alternate uniform. Unless they're just using the all-red instead of the black for some reason I guess, but this is a really strange group of uniforms. Two throwbacks this year, one home uniform this year, and throwback we haven't seen yet that doesn't come out til next year.

I honestly like that the helmet isn't matching, it's one of those fun quirks that happens because of the circumstances but eventually normal. I'm glad the Rams have a matching helmet now, but I do like keeping this intact for throwbacks.
I wonder if they're going to use this helmet with the Color Rush uniform as well. As far as I can tell, they'd be allowed to do that, right?

This is one of the rare occasions where a contemporary concept that we've seen on these boards multiple times was actually adopted in real life.
I would have expected them to mess it up by putting a key-line around the logo, or using a nonsensical logo sticker like the Saints did down the middle, but the Panthers didn't overthink this and unveiled a phenomenal lid.
I wonder if this was why last year they designed the blue jerseys as home. Good call, these are really good
Wait, I missed this. Carolina made the blue jerseys their primary ones last year?

I see it now. Gonna be honest, I was looking so hard for uniform changes I didn't even look at the numbers.

Navy jersey, grey pants, and lime green socks? That doesn't sound very appealing tbh but to each their own.
