I can't say these are better than the current uniforms, but I can't say they're worse, either. A lateral move from one excellent set to another.

I wonder if the success of the RR jerseys has something to do with this, since they're based on the same template.

It reminds me more of Louisiana Tech, or even Fresno State. I don't particularly like any of the Pat Patriot uniforms, but this strikes me as a more professional look than the collegiate '80s uniforms:

Sure, there were some bizarre inconsistencies with the home jerseys' shoulder stripes (just look at Babe Parilli's jersey in that first photo compared to Jim Nance, Len St. Jean, and Charley Long), but that's an easy fix. Regardless, the 1993 uniforms were still a lot better.

I've been a Pats fan for my whole life and I just learned there's a Pats player that shared my last name. I need a Len St. Jean jersey.

In the 7 years since the one helmet rule was created the uniform rules have been bastardized to the point where teams can wear 11 different combos in 16 weeks.

Can you name a rule that's changed?

Teams are wearing more combos now largely because they have more pants and socks. That didn't happen because of a rule change.

  4. Yeah, the one helmet rule isn't something archaic. It's very modern. We already know what the league looks like without it. There's throwbacks with accurate helmets, and no crazy extra uniforms. If they repeal that rule, there's no reason to believe every team is going to have 5 helmets.

  5. On the All-22 footage, it's almost impossible to identify some Patriots players due to their lack of shoulder numbers. Would be interested to see if any Rams or Chargers fans have had the same issues. It's frustrating.

I didn't realize just how similar Jacksonville's teal and Philly's midnight green are until I saw this pic. They're really not that different.

  7. NFL 2020 thread is locked, so I'm posting this here. Didn't realize it in live time, but Mecole Hardman was straight up wearing the wrong socks during the Super Bowl.

How does that even happen? The NFL needs to get it's sock situation together.

But the packers and chiefs have changed. Actually the packers have redesigned their uniforms after the panthers were founded. The chiefs changed their uniforms after moving to KC and changed from the Texans to the Chiefs.

The Chiefs also changed their uniforms in 2012 when they moved to Nike. The stripes on the cuffs got moved to the sleeve.

These photos you posted are from their home openers

I totally missed the road part of that comment. My bad lol.

The answer is still yes. They wore white over white at least at New England in the 2012 Divisional Round.

They also wore all-white as a Color Rush matchup with New England in 2016.

    There's a game at Indianapolis in 2009.

Indianapolis Colts quarterback Peyton Manning (18) scrambles between Houston Texans defenders Connor Barwin (98) and Bernard

As far as I can tell, these are the only three times. One playoff game, one color rush, and one regular game. Houston lost all three.

  10. I don't love the black endzones, but I've started to come around on them. It is fun to have some kind of a tradition for this specific game, something about the design you don't get at other games. I do wish they used the conference or team logo in the endzones instead of the CFP one however.
