  1. Would be disappointed but not surprised if they did something like this. I’d rage over Black pants with a White helmet. I do like the Black facemask on the White helmet, though. Always a good, clean look.
  2. Had they used the R-skins uniform and replaced the logo on the helmet with the White/Athletic Gold version of the current "W", they probably would've been fine.
  3. I agree on this part. The current Nike blue that the Panthers have been using is bright & vibrant and I loved it. I think the new shade will result in a darker, duller overall appearance.
  4. Mike Florio posited a great question in an article today on his Pro Football Talk website: "Will new owner rebrand the Commanders?" https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2023/04/08/will-new-owner-rebrand-the-commanders/?unapproved=8347931&moderation-hash=cb87ba6894e07a77037a8647cf27821b#comment-8347931 Since we're waiting on Arizona Cardinals news and we know we'll see the minor update to the Panthers on draft night in 19 days, I thought it would fun to drum up some conversation on the following "what if" scenarios: A). What if the new owner(s) of the Washington Commanders decide to REBRAND the team? 1. What would the new primary name of the team be? - Washington - DC - Virginia (where team is HQ'd and likely to build a new stadium) - Other 2. What would the new primary nickname & logo be? 3. What would the new team colors be? B). What if the new owner(s) of the Washington Commanders decide to RELOCATE the team? 1. What city or cities would most likely qualify for a new team? What city/state name would you choose for them? - St. Louis - San Diego - Other (Orlando, San Antonio, Austin, Salt Lake City, Portland, Columbus, Memphis, Oakland, Birmingham, Sacramento, Hawaii or ?) 2. What would the new primary nickname & logo be? 3. What would the new team colors be? The topic itself is a fun one to ponder, given that the franchise will be sold and their lease at FedEx Field expires in 2026, which would just happen to be the 5th year in the current uniform design (a relocated team could rebrand before the 5-year window). The Commanders identity has been a flop and the uniforms are abysmal. This would allow the new owners and/or the league to make a correction and capitalize on the potential of a new stadium, maybe in a new city. From an investment perspective, if you bought the Washington Commanders for $7 billion and had the option of keeping that investment as the Washington Commanders, rebranding the team but keeping it in Virginia/MD, or moving to a new city with an entirely new identity in an effort to maximize your investment, what would you do? Washington intends to build the smallest stadium in the NFL, at 55,000 capacity. Do you try to correct, or move it to a place like St. Louis, which is getting 35,000 fans to show up for an XFL game? Or San Antonio, which is the 7th largest city by population in the country with 1,579,504 residents? Or Orlando, who is bigger than Cincy, Pittsburgh, St. Louis, and Buffalo, and Glendale (AZ), is one of the fastest growing regions in the country, has an NFL-sized stadium in the Citrus Bowl/Camping World Stadium, and was the largest travel & tourism destination in the country in 2022? Sound off. Might not be the right thread for it but maybe will give us a break on the Cardinals/Panthers/White Broncos Helmet for a few days until we get some real news.
  5. I prefer the contrast collar, for sure.
  6. I'm actually surprised I never noticed this. Now it's going to bother me.
  7. I did a quick Photoshop of this for myself (it's bad, I didn't want to post it and didn't even save it, someone else can do a better job than me) and the jersey ends up looking super generic without the contrasting collar. Nice thought to work through. I don't think it would make a difference on the size of the TV numbers either way, unless you want the TV numbers sewn up on the collar. The sleeve stripes are the issue with the TV numbers.
  8. I think color changes do, though, and technically, this is a color change. Curious to see how the league views it.
  9. I think he meant that they'd remove the contrast collar to have more room for standard size TV numbers. Meaning the TV numbers would be sewn ON the collar, rather than having to be resized to fit within the stripe & collar seams. As you can see on Stetson's jersey, if you add the Carolina stripe and try to fit a number between it and the collar...ain't happening.
  10. No contrasting collar for the Panthers would be another step down. Really not a fan of this template. Sad to hear. When I saw that photo that the Panthers posted on their website today, the perspective makes it look like the TV number was awfully close to the neck; certainly they wouldn't allow for those numbers to impede on the collar, right? Right?
  11. Agree. Would be thrilled if they just updated the helmet stripe. The pant stripe doesn't both me as much.
  12. Likely just marketing speak from Nike regarding the Vapor F.U.S.E. template.
  13. Just from a player perspective, the Vapor Untouchable was much lighter and more comfortable than the Elite 51, so it doesn't make sense to not use the newer template.
  14. RATS. I'm also in the camp that prefers the stripes ending at the seam across the chest, as Nike does it now. I don't think it looks better at all when the stripes go all the way down under the armpit. They're not going to start making "the sleeves bigger" so these types of stripes are going to be an issue, it is what it is.
  15. Two options I would anticipate: 1. Vapor Untouchable template: 2. Vapor F.U.S.E (aka Fusion) template: Hoping the NFL doesn’t transition to the new template anytime soon. Hate the front neck design and vertical seams on the body. Didn’t look particularly great on Oregon. Neither seem to leave room for TV numbers, unless you’re a linemen, so I hope they just drop them.
  16. I wonder if the way they’re adjusting the sleeve stripes will help accommodate TV numbers more. Also, I’ll miss the current Blue, but I’d bet most fans won’t even notice.
  17. I knew that. I really did know that. I swear. This is what my brain was trying to ask:
  18. WHEW!!! What’s the PMS for Process Blue? EDIT: What’s the PMS for the current Blue?
  19. They’re going to look like the Philadelphia Soul.
  20. Have long been waiting for a Matte White helmet in the NFL. It’s tricky as the matte finish on White, at least when it was done early in the “matte helmet” era, would “yellow” over time, especially when played on a lot of natural grass/dirt. Curious if this has been remedied. My guess is it would be more of a Satin White. When done right, it can be great, but always looks better with (my hill to die on) Black bumpers/hardware. This was a Matte White Schutt F7 I had Schutt make up for us years ago as a sales sample when I was with BSN SPORTS: Much less visually appealing when the bumpers & chinstrap are White and interior padding is White and/or Grey.
  21. Cardinals uniforms - was there a press invite sent out yesterday, as anticipated?
  22. Well, since it has to be worn with the Color Rush, let's hope they at least use the "D" logo. It'll still look bad if they use a White facemask. Mask needs to be Navy, or at least Orange. What are the rules on changing Color Rush uniforms? Is it possible they'd introduce a White CR alt? That would make more sense with this helmet.
  23. @TruColor have you asked the Reddit leaker about what they know in regards to Carolina’s new duds?
