I like the name Commanders, but they should have at least had a Commander secondary logo. And the uniforms of course are a mess.

And RWB means they are talking about red white blue teams. So the Chiefs don’t apply to either, but I do like the other points you made. the Texans owner who made the inmates comments is dead also, this is his son.

It’s not a trend it’s a large part of the cities culture for over 30 years.

Respectful, really? It’s the direction the Texans are going and I gave the reason. You can think whatever you want but your idea of Texans is different than what we have down here in H-Town.

CANDY PAINT DRIPPIN’ The red helmets are very popular here in Houston, in large part because of the candy paint. U of H has had the same candy paint for years now. I think the candy helmet is assured to remain in the 2024 rebrand.

One reason it hasn’t taken off, and likely won’t, is because Riddell and Schutt void their warranty if you use that product or anything similar.

Too much yellow for that. It’s either San Diego or early 70’s

I can’t speak for the Bengals helmet, but Riddell offers the Bengals striping as a paint option.

I’m a UH Grad/HS Football coach who knows a little about turf. I get the strong impression that TDECU Stadium will get a new blank turf that will be painted for the Rougnecks during XFL season and for the Coogs during college season. This is what they do with the turf in the Super Dome I believe. “Washable” turf paint was not a common thing until fairy recently. Most turfs come with colored permanent fibers. This is what UH had previously.

I'm guessing the the red,orange and black logo goes to the refinery with fire video. My guess is Houston Rougnecks or Wildcatters - both of which I dislike.
