A white helmet wouldn't get the panthers because white helmets are more of an old school thing, that panthers are far from that being a 90s expansion team.If white looks good a team should wear it. I hardly think its an 'old school' thing. The silver helmets look bad, especially on the away uniforms.

30 seconds in gimp has yielded this. Its not perfect but I still think its a big improvement.

Still can't believe he acted that childishly over the Olympics. And Callahan doesn't look that out of place in a Lightning uniform.

Silver makes the look. I think it muddies up the design. If it were Black/Panther Blue/White it would be a lot cleaner of a look, and the colours would pop a lot more.

I think the Carolina Panthers would look so much better if they dropped the silver. It ruins an otherwise great look in my opinion.

Needs more orange.

I adore this uniform. I think its vastly superior to the Blueshirts current home. (Which I also don't like that much to begin with. Another unpopular one.)

1. if it's a classic team with a classic uniform they get a pass (cardinals don't, colt's do) 2. same as 1 3. depends on if the color is suppose to be shiny or not (old silver and gold pants>new matte one, new colored pants>old shiny ones) Again, I don't care if its a 'classic'. Every time I see those uniforms I can't help but think how much better the 49ers would look with a red facemask, the colts with a blue one, etc. Same goes for the shoes.

1. If grey/silver isn't in your colour scheme, you shouldn't wear a grey facemask. I don't care if its traditional. 2. If black isn't part of your colour scheme, you shouldn't wear black shoes. Use team colours. I don't care if its traditional. 3. The nike matte pants look better than the shiny ones.

Seattle's colour scheme is great, the shades just need to be tweaked a bit. Namely the green needs to be toned down so it doesn't look like radioactive snot.

I don't think that's really an unpopular opinion. I like them too, but my beef with them is the color balance. If they wore the grey pants (with green feathers in the stripe) as the main option as well as switch to a grey helmet, they would look perfect.The last thing the league needs is another grey helmet/grey pants team. Also, while I think the grey pants are undoubtedly the best possible option with the white jersey, the home looks best with blue pants. Monochrome is basically Seattle's schtick, and I think their home unis pull it off. The grey pants + blue jersey just look off to me. Not sure why.

Is it just me or the is the orange a lot darker and less vibrant on those? It always looked that way to me. I don't like them.

I hate the Packers logo. It irks me to no end that its just a 'G'. Its like the Giants using an 'N' for their logo or the 49ers an 'S'. Name of location is two words? Use both letters.

2 unpopular football opinions: I don't mind monochrome I don't mind matte helmets It all depends on how its executed, which is why I try to stay away from sweeping generalizations.

The only teams that would work for are ones who are matched with a very light jersey. It looks good there because both the Jays and Royals are wearing powder blue.

While this certainly isn't a bad look, the Seahawks should stay away from it. The last thing the league needs is another silver helmet/blue jersey/silver pants team.

I still maintain that its a couple slight tweaks and a new helmet away from being a really solid look.

I agree with you here. It looks great for those teams. I think it has to do with the fact that their uniforms are modern yet still classy.

I don't like Green Bay's road uniforms. Too much yellow, not enough green. The colour balance is really off. Also Is he wearing socks on his arms?

Not really an unpopular opinion, their identity is great. I just wish they utilized the 'Sand' Colour more.

That's not an unpopular opinion at all. Really? I'm constantly hearing about how the M's need to go back to the old blue and gold trident logo.

I think the Mariners current look is superior to the old one in every way.

I think the buffaslug is a thousand times better than the Crew logo.

While I bore the Buffaslug no love, I didn't share the hate for it either. The jerseys were pretty gross though. As for Carolina, its not that the uniforms look bad, its the copycat thing that makes people hate it.
