  1. I actually wouldn’t be opposed to the gold pants with the white jersey, but it looks terrible with the purple.
  2. Sounds like they tried to come up with the most stereotypically “New York” name possible.
  3. I think it’s okay for the sake of throwbacks, but if a team’s fulltime uniform uses one just for the sake of being retro inspired, it should be updated. The Giants are fine, they use plenty of grey on their pants, but the 49ers are one of the worst offenders. The grey clashes so poorly with their red and gold colours. It looks bush league.
  4. Grey facemasks when there is no grey to be found in the team's colours are ugly and amateur looking.
  5. The jerseys are fine. It’s hard to find a striping pattern that’s both subdued and not generic, and I think they’ve hit it, particularly their away jerseys. As fans logos, ‘Winnipeg Jets’has so much potential. An RCAF insignia with a beveled jet and the maple leaf shoehorned in every logo doesn’t make a good look. I like the aviator blue, it beats the generic red and navy of the logos. The only logo I like is the word mark, because it reminds of the vapour trail of a jet.
  6. I think the uniforms are great. The logos are pretty bad though
  7. It really is. If the Islanders didn’t have so much history behind it it would be considered hands down the worst logo in the NHL
  8. Agreed. This is the best logo they've ever had, and possibly the greatest logo of all time, any sport. I'm not joking about the second part. This logo is so dumb that it is amazing, and genuinely one of my favourites of all time.
  9. I think you misunderstood my point. I'm saying sticking an ugly logo on a banner memorializing a team's championship sullies the banner. Nothing to do with consistency.
  10. That’s probably the worst part of those terrible Super Bowl logos, that they’re memorialized forever on banners like that. I’d way rather see a plain “Super Bowl ____ Champions” or something of that ilk.
  11. They're certainly very similar but I wouldn't call them a ripoff. Its pretty obviously a tribute to the Utah geography, I highly doubt they said "lets take those infamous Houston baseball jerseys but basketball them up".
  12. I’m of the opinion that giant ads taking up the centre space of a uniform ruin every kit. Some just match colours better than others
  13. I'm in total agreement. I also think silver completely ruins the look. It would be so much cleaner and better with just white-Carolina blue-black
  14. Because its freakin sick how it like, y'know changes colours dude.
  15. I like curved hemstripes on hockey uniforms, and I think its one of the few things adidas got right.
  16. I think the sabres are fine in navy, especially considering they're one of 3 teams who use it as their primary colour as opposed to the 6 who use royal
  17. I'd say that could be said for a lot of 'classic' logos.
  18. This is a fine Cap logo. I like the idea of one team having an insignia that isn't a super overdesigned initial, not every team needs heavily stylized, interlocking, difficult to discern cap logos. And if one city can get away with a block letter, its Cleveland.
  19. Ugh, I never realized the old Sabres jerseys had their primary logo as a shoulder patch as well. Yikes.
  20. I like the Giants but the problem with these uniforms is that so much gold looks really bad against the cream base.
  21. The good thing about 'Raptors' is it can have multiple meanings if they ever wantted to stray from the Dinosaur theme. When the Raptors were changing their identity I wanted them to switch to Blue and White and use a Snowy Owl for the logo. Fits Toronto well, fits the Raptors name, fits them trying to brand themselves as 'Canada's team', and fits with them trying to brand themselves with Drake. I also think its a more timeless identity. I'm still in favour of that, as the League has enough red and black teams and no blue and white ones. I'm also a fan of cities having a set of colours used across their teams, like Pittsburgh. Probably an unpopular opinion, but there it is.
