I’ve said my piece and I stand by it: The CAPS in red, 70s in blue, and Capitol in slate/white would all just look like fauxbacks or just alternates that look like they never got unveiled at that point in time. Forever collecting dust.

All I’m saying is the Capitals new RR just seems vastly uninspired and out of place. Taking the easy way out.

You can’t look at these- and tell me this jersey wouldn’t be a regular part of that rotation That’s not RR. It’s just a forgotten jersey deep in the closet amongst the mothballs.

Similarly, Zach Ertz was traded by the Eagles directly after a Thursday night game and was declared ineligible for the Cardinals game that Sunday. Presumably due to both games taking place in the same week.

I don’t think you understood what I was saying. The new RR looks like it belongs in the older set and not as a new alternate. The old set had blue and white jerseys that looked exactly like it.

Yeah this team is digging way too deep into the military angle of the identity. The name patch on the practice jerseys are fun, but they have an entire uniform (the all black one) meant to resemble a military uniform. It feels a lot like this team has a weird military fetish/kink and is dressing the part. It didn’t have to be like this.

IMO, the Commanders weren’t the worst dressed in that matchup. Which is surprising. Agreed on everything.

Commanders have been using old pants in practice. I know it’s common to do this, but damn do I miss em.
