  1. Being respectful surely is such a PR move
  2. Haskins had every right to ask for the number. It’s not retired and he really didn’t have to try to get it, either. It was a simple request for use of a number. Nothing more. He wasn’t being a “punk kid” by any measure.
  3. I’m not defending Snyder in any way, but good grief. Not everything is a product of him being the absolute worst pro sports owner. Also, FWIW, Theismanns’s number isn’t retired. Anyone could theoretically wear it, but again, it’s up to the player and franchise’s discretion what happens to the numbers. “Punk kids” literally have no say in the process.
  4. Gonna be devil’s advocate here and say that’s it’s not really the “punk kid”’s decision to unretire a number. They’re just requesting to wear the number and it’s ultimately up to the retired player and franchise they played for to decide whether or not a young player can wear it. The most popular example, Joe Theismann didn’t have to let Dwayne Haskins wear 7, but he said yes anyway stating “I've given him permission. Not that I feel like I needed to, but he was respectful enough to ask… He doesn't need to worry about, 'Well, I wish I could've worn a different jersey. I wish I could've worn a number.'“ https://www.nfl.com/news/dwayne-haskins-gets-theismann-blessing-to-wear-no-7-0ap3000001029306
  5. Eh, Minnesota seems pretty tame compared to Western Michigan
  6. I’m curious to know everyone’s thoughts on the Kyle Busch situation regarding his future after this season. Supposedly JGR has yet to open discussion about a return in ‘23 and there’s buzz that Busch wants to leave Toyota altogether. Many believe Kaulig Racing (Chevrolet) will want his services as both driver and co-owner. Reports are that Kaulig wants to get into the Truck Series, which is where Busch already has a successful team. I like this scenario the most. Kaulig Racing is gaining a lot of steam and is a great second tier cup team along with Trackhouse. Adding a driver like Busch would do wonders.
  7. If this is any indication, then yes.
  8. Washington is finally retiring Sonny Jurgensen’s 9. Ceremony will take place in Week 18 vs Cowboys.
  9. Revert back to the prior uniforms (with the new helmet, but keeping the “COMMANDERS” and “WASHINGTON” aspects of the burgundy and white jerseys sounds like a win
  10. Truthfully, the white over burgundy pants and socks wasn’t a half bad combo for Washington
  11. I don’t know, I think I prefer the Cowboys to be a navy blue and white team with silver being a tertiary color.
  12. I’ll echo this. It amazes me that the black helmet is ironically 1 of 2 things right with the uniform set. The other thing being the standard white helmet.
  13. Not an issue, but I like the added “[insert username] is here” feature
  14. I still don’t understand why they felt the need to have a random person dress up in full uniform when it’s clearly not the normal player who wears 24. Was Darrel Williams just simply not available for the photo shoot? I suppose I’m just reading into it too much.
  15. How does burgundy helmet/white jersey/gold pants look?
  16. Seems kind of odd though that they’d special order a singular jersey (and likely pants) just for one photo that’s rather pointless on the surface of things.
  17. They could go the Rams route and unveil it as a “modern throwback”. The biggest thing that throws me off though is why just showcase a random guy in a uniform instead of a player like Murray. 24 has to be an indication of things, right?
  18. I thought for sure this was a picture from Falcons practice Also, the Cardinals Twitter header photo is showing a jersey that doesn’t seem to be their normal red jersey and it seems to be better quality than the practice jersey. Plus, why showcase a random player and not someone like Kyler Murray or JJ Watt? That person in the photo is definitely a model and not RB Darrel Williams
  19. All Atlanta really needs to do is drop the side stripe on the jerseys and get a full red jersey. For the Jets, the jersey and pants stripes desperately need to be outlined accordingly Titans just need to drop the armpit stains and get a better pants stripe
  20. Unpopular opinion (likely by a long shot), but this was such a fantastic uniform to build from
  21. This thread feels a little unhinged
  22. Whose Line Jersey is it Anyway?
