  1. The Montreal Canadiens overall set gets dumbed down by it's a way jersey. Hands down one of the worst jerseys in the NHL.

Also, the Carolina Hurricanes jersey isn't that bad. It doesn't look like a toilet bowl, it looks like a hurricane to me. It's still bad though, but what else can you do for a team called the Hurricanes.

The problem I have with the Canadiens' uniforms is that they don't match. Either go with the waist stripe on both uniforms or don't even bother using it at all.

The 'Canes look isn't bad, but it could be so much better. Too many teams use the colors' red and black and their alternate logo, in my opinion, is better.

  2. Was watching the 86 Stanley cup finals and I realized that I just don't like the Flames origional uniforms. Red and yellow is a beautiful color scheme by itself and it works for teams like Chiefs but it just looks wierd with the Flames. I defenatly think they need a little bit of black.

Yes, I also think they need black, but only as a trim color. They don't need to be a red and black team because we already have enough of those in hockey.

Save for the Original Six, I think everyone else in the NHL should try and experiment new and exciting designs instead of using this same-old traditional template. I just think there has to be a change of scenery w/ regards to hockey aesthetics.

I'm gonna apologize early on behalf of the offended 'traditional jersey' fanboys.

Agreed. I would love to see some teams like Tampa Bay or San Jose go with something different.

The Stars have won of the bottom 5 NHL logos, there's nothing cool or clever or classy about it whatsoever.

I love their jerseys but hate the logo. They could have easily just recolored what they had, despite what the owner or whoever was said when they were unveiled.

I think they should've went with an entirely different identity when they left Minneapolis. I get the nod to the North Stars, but I've just never been a fan of what they later became (adding black for the most of it). I also think it looks incredibly weird that a Dallas-based team isn't using blue, but that's more of a personal perspective of mine. I still think their current look is the best they've ever looked as the "Dallas Stars".

Also, I would've prefer if they went with "Texas" instead of "Dallas" because they're the only NHL team in their state.

I'm excited to see Michigan Red Wings and the Massachusetts Bruins start up next season.

Some teams can use their state name; Michigan and Massachusetts aren't one of them.

  3. Per Uni-Watch, seems that the SWB Railriders logo will be relatively short lived.

The middle section of the article states, "The team will still be known as the RailRiders but will have a new logo “which really emphasizes SWB” for the 2016 season. Minor League Baseball, however, will not allow the team to unveil the logo until the end of this season."

Not looking good for the Porcupine conductor.

Damn, I thought their rebrand was pretty successful. I hope their next rebrand is even better.

  5. One: they're the Minnesota Twins, not the Twin Cities Twins.

Two: the red C doesn't have an outline and gets lost on the blue background. The Indians road hats have the same problem

Three: The M matched the jersey script. I felt like it was a more cohesive uniform.

Four: for some reason I love the little underline under the M. It adds that extra punch and is further continuation of the jersey script.

    These are my reasons.

  6. The Reebok-engineered new-look Seahawks met the old-style Atlanta Falcons for the only time in 2002, two years before the Falcons changed their uniform. I am unable to find pics.

(Found it on Google... sure enough it was from CCSLC and a similar thread: http://boards.sportslogos.net/topic/84264-jerseys-you-didnt-think-were-used-at-the-same-time/?p=1695713)

This is unrelated to the thread, but going from red helmets to black helmets was a mistake by the Falcons.

  7. I not only like, but adore the Brewers current identity. Some people may call their current color scheme boring, but I believe it suits them much better than the old blue and yellow. I also think that this would make a perfect cap logo for the Brew Crew:

(I might have to work on a concept soon)

I wonder how that would look with a white outline instead of a navy outline.

  8. I love the Brewers current identity. I've said this before, their ball-in-glove set just didn't scream "Brewers" to me and I personally think ANY team with the initials, M and B, could use that set. Not to mention that the set was fairly outdated to me. What they have now is clean, modern, and represents their name quite well. It has it's flaws, but they're too minor for me to consider the entire identity a "mess". IF the Brewers were to go into a new direction with their identity, I'd rather them start from scratch than bringing back the old ball-in-glove set.

  9. The Ducks have never really had a great look IMO. I couldn't stand the wacky and cheesy "Mighty Duck" scheme at all and I think what they have now is significantly better. That being said, it still lacks in appeal and I do think they should blow the whole thing up and start over.
