  1. Unpopular opinion: I like the current Pepsi brand. I don't prefer the 'smile' over the wave but I like the brighter blue and the overall clean look of it all. New logo is alright, but the black text and outline around is a bit much. It fits better on the Zero can than it does on the regular - and that was a deliberate choice:
  2. At least it's not Nike? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
  3. I'm British and the "T" falling off is how I learn we have a national baseball team. That may be ignorance on my part but probably shows how well the sport is covered here. I don't follow baseball too closely but thanks to my time on these boards I at least have an understanding of the aesthetics and what makes a uniform work - the only part I don't get is why road uniforms are usually grey, but I guess that's one of baseball's traditions. With that said; Great Britain has one of the most half-arsed uniforms I've ever seen, and it's also exactly what I'd expect from them.
  4. The Ducks have started selling an Adidas Team Classics version of the original eggplant jersey. Maybe it's an early hint at another Throwback Night like they did in 2013, but it could also mean nothing in particular.
  5. ^ That's probably for the 'official' reveal of the anniversary logo. According to Icethetics they've only shown it to season ticket holders.
  6. I was half expecting an awkwardly shaped '3' using the D, and I'm glad they didn't do that.
  7. Good stuff all around! As a Ducks fan I'd be content with never seeing that wordmark jersey ever again despite them winning the Cup in it; however I like the idea of an eggplant, jade and silver version as a nod to the mightiest Ducks. Swap the colours of the jade and silver stripes and and it would better match the orientation of both the logo and the original jersey's striping.
  8. Always in the red -- In a way I prefer this colour for the Coyotes and I can appreciate the use of a Kachina design like their primary set, but its use here isn't well thought out. The wordmark looks like it was made for something else and the slightly jagged (rocky?) design isn't helping. The cactus 'A' patch is cute I guess.
  9. It's obviously a placeholder graphic and we're a long way off from knowing what the teams will actually wear. Then again for the Oilers and Flames, it doesn't get much more heritage-y than their current looks.
  10. Yeah they're never going back to the old colours, but all of this would be the next best thing. He apparently got "conflicting reports" about what the Ducks were doing with their RR. To be fair I could see why any given source (especially one who doesn't pay as much attention to this stuff or got a quick glance at best) would see a white and orange Mighty Ducks jersey and go "that sure is a white version of their third". Unless they surprise us with something new altogether I still think the current third with a matching white version is a safe bet. Maybe the white uniform takes cues from the Reverse Retro and goes all in with the orange pants. The Samuelis love them some orange so it seems like the next logical step.
  11. I don't want to get my hopes up but also it feels like a few signs have been pointing to them returning to the classic logo at some point. If they actually go through with it I might just take the plunge and catch a game over there already.
  12. As much as the Wild have basically repeated their last Reverse Retro, it's a nice look for them and the colour scheme compliments the logo well. I wouldn't want it to become their full time look - not that I would oppose it, either - but they should at least keep it around as a once-every-so-often heritage jersey or something. They're never getting the North Stars name but the occasional throwback to that era is the next best thing. Speaking of repeats I'm getting a sense of deja vu as I type this. Also it's funny seeing them dress up as their predecessors against the Jets 2.0
  13. The black Bruins socks look correct, but they feel wrong. The yellow socks added more colour to the uniform and enhanced their big and bold look.
  14. Not a fan of AI generated stuff in itself - but it's funny how most of these are very abstract and then there's Buffalo with a bemused bison balancing a blade on its back
  15. Yesterday the Ducks Adidas jersey was £160-ish on the International NHL shop. I decided to sleep on it... and now it's £240. Unless there's a sale in the next couple of weeks, I might be settling for the Fanatics version.
  16. The Reverse Retros are now live on the NHL shop but apparently all they have are the Fanatics versions The one Fanatics jersey I own is the previous Ducks RR and I don't mind it in itself, but I only got that instead of the Adidas version since there was no actual crest on it. Have they gotten any better? EDIT: Adidas versions now up!
  17. The S makes more sense with what the jersey is referencing. I like that they paid homage to a relatively obscure team instead of doing the obvious Metropolitans throwback (and I'm sure they'll do one like that at some point). Ice blue looks good, but watching the highlights it feels too bright for a dark jersey base. Or maybe another navy team like the Jets aren't a good matchup for it.
  18. I was dreading the orange pants but after seeing the photos and watching the highlights I actually don't hate them! Black pants would have been a better match for the retro they were reversing, but the orange makes for a consistent look that I quite like in itself.
  19. It's one of the nicest of the Reverse Retros and - without any particular bias to any of their logos - is probably my favourite Canucks uniform. I am a bit annoyed at the left number being on the chest instead of the sleeve even if it is historically accurate, but I can also forgive it since it's taken precedence over the sponsor patch.
  20. Again the Ducks jersey is exactly what I expected, but all things considered I'm pretty happy with i- oh
  21. I have mixed thoughts about this! A white orange and gold Mighty Ducks jersey is a concept that's been done a hundred times and now seeing this exact idea brought to life feels predictable - which I guess is inevitable when it's a simple colour swap of the two eras. The one part I kind of hate is the gold stripe touching the orange - and I get why they did it that way (silver/gold, jade/orange swap) but those two colours should never touch. Looks like it might be metallic gold instead of beige, so hopefully they won't clash too much. Nitpicking aside I'm obviously happy to see a version of the classic look return, even though I would have preferred the rumoured third recolour. But mostly happy that they'll have at least one white jersey that isn't an ugly mess.
  22. I still think a white and orange '93 Mighty Ducks jersey is what we'll be seeing for the Reverse Retro, but it's interesting that he focuses on a white version of the current third instead - but the only way that even fits the retro theme is if they call it a 2015 throwback. I guessed about them maybe testing the waters this way earlier in the thread, but admittedly that's also wishful thinking on my part.
  23. I prefer the red jersey they just got rid of. But the throwback's still better than their other current uniforms so there's that.
  24. The all teal look of the homes is fantastic and the pants look great with the white uniform too. They've gone from a very "meh" set to one of my favourites in the NHL. Maybe they could have tweaked the logo to remove some of the orange bits, but I also think they're subtle enough to the point where they're not too distracting. It's still a great logo.
