  1. Thanks! Agreed. Much like yellow & white, I find that teal & silver are much too similar in value & often end up "clashing," if they're not separated from each other as much as possible. Plus, the minimal amount of teal on the Mariners' main home & away jerseys makes them look like a plain navy & white team, which is much too boring for them. Thank you! I hadn't really considered doing the Expos, but I could certainly give them a shot!
  2. Seattle Mariners The Mariners get what is possibly the most drastic redesign of the series, with a modernized font & sleeve striping both inspired by their earliest uniforms, while bringing their iconic teal to the forefront of the brand.
  3. Maybe I’m stating the obvious, but it’s worth pointing out that the black/gold options are labeled as the “On-Field” hats, while the team-color versions are labeled “Workout,” presumably for the Home Run Derby & things like that. It makes me curious what the actual All-Star jerseys will look like (though, based on last year’s, I can’t say I’m optimistic). I really wish MLB would go back to having the specialized jerseys/caps for the Home Run Derby, while keeping the regular team uniforms for the actual All-Star Game. It was so cool seeing all of the different team’s uniforms on one field. It just felt right. Also, the ways they integrated a star design for the past two games are both superior to this year’s version:
  4. Thanks! I've always felt their primary logo is a bit stale, plus incorporating the Golden Gate Bridge helps tie that into the "Giants" nickname.
  5. San Francisco Giants I went back to the vertically-arched font from the late-90's for the home & away jerseys, along with adding a new secondary logo for the sleeve patch.
  6. San Diego Padres I think the Padres went from a bottom 5 uniform in MLB to top 5 when they brought back the brown, so the only changes I made were to the alternate, utilizing the striping design from their previous navy jersey.
  7. Pittsburgh Pirates I went back to the previous road jersey, added a gold alternate, & consolidated their two black alternates into one.
  8. Philadelphia Phillies Maroon & powder blue returns as the full-time color scheme, and the liberty bell logo is placed on the left sleeve.
  9. Oakland Athletics Kelly green returns full-time, as do the Northwestern stripes on the sleeves from the 70's, save for the gold alt.
  10. New York Yankees No need to mess with the most iconic uniform in all of sports.
  11. New York Mets I've honestly come to think that the Mets' uniforms are pretty perfect, so no major changes.
  12. I completely agree! That (and the historical precedent presented above) were my main reasons for giving the Twins the white wordmark. Cleveland, of course, has had white wordmarks in their past, but since I consider them more red-heavy than the Twins, it made sense to keep their logos/numbers red when presented on a navy background.
  13. Thank you very much! The Twins are my team, so I did the best I could to get them "right." As for the navy jersey, the inspiration for the white letters was their BP jersey from the early 80's, so the look is not *completely* without historical precedent: The Twins briefly revived the white letters for their Spring Training jerseys in 2014, as well (along with the white front-panel cap, which is another element I would bring into the Twins' rotation full-time): Here's a look at the red letters, though: I prefer the white letters myself, but the red letters aren't bad by any means, either.
  14. Here's a look at pinstripes with the home uniform: I personally prefer it plain, but it's not bad with pinstripes either. I personally really like the navy jersey, so it would have been hard to let that one go. If there was any jersey I would have traded it for, it would have been the powder blue throwback, which also would have been a tough sell, of course.
  15. Minnesota Twins Gold is minimized to the sleeve patch, 70's-inspired striping is consistent across all jerseys, the navy alternate better matches the home jersey, & the powder blue throwback stays in the rotation full time.
  16. In trying to limit myself to a 4 jersey maximum for every team, the pinstripe alternate had to be the one to go, if I wanted to keep the powder blue throwback. I'm thinking about maybe posting an additional throwback look for each team once I've completed the main uniforms, and if I end up doing so, the pinstripe jersey would definitely be the Brewers' choice.
  17. Milwaukee Brewers I think the Brewers' 2020 redesign was nearly perfect; I just matched the home sleeve stripes to the away jersey, put the City Connect sleeve stripes on the navy alternate, & put the "ball-in-glove" on the pinstriped jersey.
  18. First I've heard of it! Detroit's road script might be among my favorites in baseball.
  19. I appreciate it! Thanks! Here's a look at the home jersey with a front number: Personally, I could take it or leave it.
  20. Miami Marlins The Marlins are a rare team that do not need a road gray in my opinion, and "caliente red" is replaced with a salmon pink, unashamedly taking inspiration from the Heat's popular "Vice" uniforms.
  21. Milwaukee's City Connect is the epitome of "meh" for me. It's not necessarily bad, but it just doesn't really do much for me, either. I think a big part of that is because they didn't match the jersey with powder blue pants, which I'm honestly baffled they didn't do, especially given the program's proclivity towards monochrome color looks. It's also strange that now they seem to have a new pair of white pants that matches their regular uniform set, even though their main home is off-white. If you're going to add a new pair of pants anyway, why not make them powder blue to match the jersey, and further tribute the throwback look? I didn't like the white in the sleeve stripes until I saw the beer foam explanation. I still don't love it purely from an aesthetic standpoint, but the reasoning makes it passable for me. Otherwise, the rest of the logo set feels pretty generic (the jersey wordmark is too small), and I don't even really like the grill logo much, either. Out of all of the City Connects so far, this one's very much middle-of-the-pack for me, probably right around Miami or Kansas City. It's definitely not a uniform that I feel we needed.
  22. Sure thing, here's a look: I took the liberty of making the stripes navy, which would match well with former mangager Joe Maddon's socks: It's a super-thickened and slightly-modified version of "Rockwell," which is a font that should be already installed on most computers, if I'm not mistaken.
  23. Los Angeles Dodgers I removed the piping on the road jersey, added a white outline to the "Dodgers" road alternate to make it a throwback, went with a number font that matches the serifs of their "LA" logo, & added a Dodger blue alternate to wear at home or on the road.
  24. Might be an unpopular opinion, but I think I prefer the all-navy cap with the gray road uniform. With the navy jersey the gold front panel works though.
