  1. Colorado Rockies City Connect The Rockies were among my favorites of the City Connect jerseys, so I just swapped in their regular logos & wordmarks to coincide closer with the main identity.
  2. Thanks! Yea, I completely agree, the flag definitely feels more "Cubs" for some reason, maybe because it's closer to their color scheme than the Sox black & silver. Still, as you of course know, the White Sox have used both light blue & red in their history too, even exclusively together, So this was a nice way to reference that.
  3. Chicago White Sox City Connect Since I added a black pinstriped alternate to the regular rotation in my concept for the Sox, I went the city flag route this time, while keeping the Southside wordmark & using the flag’s stripes as a reference to the 80’s SOX uniforms.
  4. I really like this year’s All-Star jerseys. Of course, I’d much prefer every team to wear their regular jersey for the actual All-Star Game, & save this design for the Home Run Derby, for what we got, at least they’re miles better than last year’s uniforms.
  5. I really like that yoke for the Knights, and the use of the Caballeros logos is a nice touch, too. In general, my opinion has soured on “tinted” road uniforms, saying that as someone who’s tried it myself. I think I’d prefer a regular gray for most of these uniforms so far, personally. Other than that, these designs show a lot of creativity & willingness to try new things, so I’m looking forward to seeing where the rest of the series goes!
  6. Chicago Cubs City Connect I realized that the Marlins’ City Connect might actually work better for the Cubs, because the red with white pinstripes reminded me of the classic Wrigley Field scoreboard outside of the stadium.
  7. I thought about going in other directions, such as incorporating Navajo art, a snakeskin pattern, or something similar to the Phoenix Suns' "Valley" uniform, but none of it seemed to work well. Maybe I'll come back to it in the future. I’d love to hear any ideas anyone else has, as well. I am not familiar with any of these places you’ve referenced, which I guess is one of the disadvantages of not being a local (which you seem like you might be). Regardless, I think going with something that’s known on a more national scale about Arizona, such as the Navajo or the desert valley, would be a better direction to go with. I’ll keep trying out ideas to see if I can come up with anything.
  8. Boston Red Sox City Connect I don’t mind the Sox actual City jersey aesthetically, but it simply doesn’t feel like a “Red Sox” jersey, so I went with a Green Monster-inspired design in order to keep more in line with the team’s history.
  9. Arizona Diamondbacks City Connect This is the one jersey where I didn’t change anything, not necessarily because love the design, but more-so because they didn’t really offer much to work with.
  10. Hello again! I'll be posting my City Connect adjustments for the 14 teams who have released a design so far. I'll post two teams here today, & then one per day after that. I hope you enjoy!
  11. They desperately need an update. Their look reeks of the early 2000’s.
  12. I’ve always wanted to see the Patriots pair silver pants with the white jersey, but I’m not sure it’ll happen. Was I incorrect in thinking the silver pants had been part of the style guide even back since the reveal in 2020? I had thought they were always there in the style guide, just never worn.
  13. I wouldn’t doubt it. I just think the old logo could have worked just as well even if that’s what they wanted to do. Either that, or maybe fit a baseball shape within the center circle of the new one.
  14. The logo feels like a bit of a downgrade, if only because there’s no longer anything to signify “baseball” in it anymore. Now it sort of just looks like a variation on Google Photos. I’m curious to see if Nike will end up taking over most of the uniforms, though.
  15. I agree. I wouldn’t mind if the Angels went with the City uniform full-time. I think Arizona could pull off a sand road uniform full-time. The Astros going with their City cap would be an immediate improvement, & I wouldn’t mind if they went with the more space-y, futuristic elements such as the NASA font & the gradient stripes. Colorado could have afforded to have a mountain-themed alternate in their main set, and the green & purple color combo could work, as well. As far as rankings go, now that they’re all out for this year, I’d go: 1. White Sox 2. Angels 3. Houston 4. Colorado 5. Washington 6. Arizona 7. Boston 8. Kansas City 9. Miami 10. San Francisco 11. Milwaukee 12. San Diego 13. Cubs 14. Dodgers
  16. Funny enough, I already had a different take on the Rays, inspired by a design that I did 5 years ago, that has a font similar to what you've suggested: The font comes from the Daytona Tortugas, a Minor League affiliate of the Reds, & I paired their old forest green with their current columbia blue. It's definitely more distinct than most of the fonts the Rays have had in their history. I'd love to hear what you think!
  17. Also, if you'd like to see all of the designs presented in one place, check out this website! I'll be updating it with the City & throwback designs once I release those. I also have some extra Spring Training jersey designs on there as a bonus. https://mjd7design.myportfolio.com/
  18. And that's a wrap! Thank you to everyone who followed along & checked these MLB designs out, I hope you enjoyed it! I plan on being back soon with some of my changes to the City Connect designs released so far, and probably some extra throwback jerseys after that.
  19. Washington Nationals I made the striping more consistent across all of the jerseys, & flipped the colors of the away wordmark to match the home.
  20. I never thought of the design in the "a" being a representation of the Tropicana Dome, I always thought it was a slice of a lemon or an orange or something like that. Just out of curiosity, what kind of script would you want the Rays to go for? I struggled with that because I honestly feel that they haven't really had a great wordmark in their history, and to me the Turn Back the Clock one was the best of a mediocre bunch. The outline on the road jersey is actually navy, and the Blue Jays road jerseys in real life have that outline too, in fact. I've always loved it, it's one of those quirks that just somehow works for me. I've tried removing the navy outline, but to me it suddenly becomes bare & not quite bold enough. I think the navy outline is almost essential to that jersey.
  21. Toronto Blue Jays The best uniforms in the American League don't need much improvement, so I just adjusted the powder blue jersey to be more accurate of a throwback to the appropriate era.
  22. Texas Rangers The Rangers go all-in on the dropshadow to match the cap logo.
  23. Tampa Bay Rays The Rays get a complete redesign based off of their "Turn Back the Clock" promotion from 2012, creating a retro-inspired look that feels surprisingly modern.
  24. The Padres City Connect jersey has leaked: I can’t say I’m a fan.
  25. St. Louis Cardinals The "St. Louis" wordmark now adorns the away jersey, and the throwback jerseys are updated to be more period-accurate of the eras they each represent in Cardinals baseball history.
