  1. Thanks! This idea had me really intrigued, as I didn't notice until today that the Aviators & Sounds did actually end up having pretty similar color schemes, as @coco1997 pointed out. It was somewhat tough to implement, as the "gradient" effect no longer worked. Here's my attempt though: I quite like it! It ended up being mostly black & gold with red acting as an accent, but I think it worked out pretty well. I noticed that today too, I've updated the logo to have white letters. I did have a throwback design that included one of their roundel logos, I only didn't include it because I limited myself to 4 jerseys per team. You could say it'd be their "Cooperstown Collection" design: I'll try to work on diversifying their patch designs to include some of the other logos in there, since I agree with you they are really nice. As for the "city synergy," do you mean with the Predators' navy & yellow? I fear if I made the set mostly black & yellow, it would veer too much into Pirates territory. To address the guitar string comment that both you & @vtgco mentioned: the guitar strings actually were more pronounced originally, but the Twins' subtle pinstripes actually inspired me to make them more subdued. I'd be okay with the guitar strings not being as visible from a distance, as I didn't want them to be too bold. I might end up trying that out! I forgot they had that logo, I really like it too. Thank you all for your feedback! I truly appreciate it.
  2. Nashville Sounds I combined their current logos with a previous color palette of theirs, while adding racing pinstripes that resemble guitar strings, to create a look that would be unique to MLB & hopefully captures the essence of Nashville.
  3. Montréal Expos It'll probably never happen, but I don't think this one needs much explaining. (Also, here it is, @AFirestormToPurify!)
  4. I think you managed to find the exact font the Aviators use, maybe with the slightest of adjustments. Thanks! Here's how it looks on the home jersey: I think it works pretty well! Thanks! I actually imagined the Knights in the AL East, and the Bats in the Central (AL or NL, either way).
  5. Louisville Bats The Minor League team was purple & black before switching to navy & red, so I combined the two to create a unique (& in my mind, underrated) color scheme for MLB. EDIT: Minor update to the cream alt: I decided to go with the caroon bat on the sleeves to add to the fauxback 50's aesthetic.
  6. Thanks! To be honest I'm not much of a fan of the new "C" logo, or the updated knight that came with it, I much prefer the previous version. I definitely thought about it, but I'm not sure of a font that would fit well for them. Any suggestions?
  7. Las Vegas Aviators The Minor League team's navy & orange color palette was essentially a copy of the Astros, so I replaced navy with black & added in a warm red, resulting in a scheme much more fitting for Vegas.
  8. Not a bad idea: I have another team using purple coming up soon though, so I'd probably want to reserve it for them.
  9. Thanks! Here's a look at your suggestion: I'll admit, I did almost go this route originally, but the white letters won out. Either way looks good though I think!
  10. Yea, fair enough, I guess that point was meant more specifically for the Panthers. The “red-throated caraca” () looks pretty black & red though. Regardless, I like the Falcons’ mono-black look, even though I know that’s unpopular.
  11. I think the Falcons & Panthers could both make mono-black work as their primary home looks, as it makes sense with their namesakes. The Ravens and Jaguars can make mono-black work as an occasional alternate, and the issues I have with those uniforms rest in other areas, not the fact that they're mono-black. The Steelers Color Rush isn't a bad option for one primetime night game a year. The rest (Jets, Eagles, Commanders, Cardinals) I agree are completely unnecessary and do nothing but dilute the brand.
  12. Charlotte Knights I originally conceptualized this, before the Minor League team unveiled their recent redesign, with black & gold & their old logos. However, I think going with Panther blue to unite Charlotte into one color palette works really well.
  13. Hello there! As a fun little way to end the year, I’ll be posting my ideas for 6 potential MLB expansion teams, one for each division. I’ll be posting one team per day, I hope you enjoy! Charlotte Knights Las Vegas Aviators Louisville Bats Montréal Expos Nashville Sounds Portland Beavers
  14. I think a healthy blend of the two would be really nice: (As a side note, I think teal/black/gold like this is the best color distribution of the numbers, one thing the 2013 set got right). The 90's font has some faults too (in my mind): uneven line weights really date fonts to the late 90's/early 2000's, it's why I prefer the Titans' current font to their former (just about the only improvement in their most recent redesign), & I'm desperate for the Eagles to change their font for the same reason. You hit the nail on the head with the "feline" feel of the original font though. That's one thing I really miss from it.
  15. I just wanted to come back in here to say that I’m loving the Twins’ rebrand more and more every day. They simplified everything across the board to include only the most essential elements from their history, creating a clean, streamlined, cohesive identity. The cream jersey only using navy is really growing on me too, and that was my least favorite aspect of the brand during the reveal. I might even be happy that they didn’t include any red at this point. Otherwise, the only change I’d make would be to flip the stripes on the navy jersey, to make it white/navy/red. Beyond that, I really think this is a pretty much perfect evolution of the Twins’ brand, and I couldn’t be happier. I think it’s right on par with the Blue Jays, Padres, and Brewers as far as near-perfect rebrands go. I think it’ll end up growing on people with time.
  16. The white facemask looks a lot better in action than it did in the promo shots. I still prefer the brown though, as it connects better to the helmet, in my opinion. As @GFB suggested above, the white stands out a bit too much to my eyes.
  17. I hold the seemingly unpopular opinion that the brown facemask is better than white for the Browns, and seeing this only reinforced that for me. It's not the worst thing in the world though, I definitely like it more than gray, so I'll try to see how it looks in action.
  18. They decided to darken the navy because the navy of the jersey didn't match the hat previously: Granted, I would've maybe tried to see if I could lighten the hat to match the jersey, but I don't believe New Era has a lighter navy like that. So I can see why they went the route they did. I'm not quite sure the Twins have a singular set or brand element that is unanimously beloved in the way the Blue Jays and Padres were. For me, as a Twins fan I've never been a fan of the '87-'09 pinstripes set, I much prefer the 70's-80's set they seem to have taken a bit more inspiration from.
  19. Imagine the Jets pull a Brooklyn Nets and go strictly black & white… *shudders*
  20. I don’t really think they’re all that great, but I just really like the idea of teams wearing throwbacks on Thanksgiving. It just feels right. If the Lions threw back to the Barry Sanders uniforms instead, I’d be just as fine with that.
  21. If the Lions’ gray alt was the same shade as their regular silver pants, & they wore the blue pants with it every once in a while, I think it’d be a pretty nice alternate. It’d probably have to be a Seahawks-style situation where they could only wear it on the road in place of white, though. They should always wear the throwbacks on Thanksgiving regardless, as should any other team that plays on Thanksgiving.
  22. Yeah, probably. Here's an idea I like better: making the flags dual-colored. I left the letters and the inside sleeve stripe white, as I feel like it works better when the white is surrounded by red & navy.
  23. Thanks! I just had the idea today to isolate Minnie & Paul for this jersey's patch, although I'm not sure it turned out as well as I'd hoped: I can kind of understand why they went with the flag logo now.
  24. Agreed. I'm not a fan of a red-billed hat for the Twins, because it pushes them closer into Cleveland & Atlanta territory. If they were to have another cap, I'd want something similar to the 2014 ASG hat design, I think it'd work well with the home jersey. But I wouldn't want that replacing the navy TC or the M cap. If the cream jersey had a little bit of red in it, that'd render the 2nd TC hat unnecessary, that could've been an option.
  25. Another addendum now that the rebrand has been unveiled: There's honestly not much I'd change in the uniform set, I just adjusted the sleeve stripes of the navy alternate. I might honestly like it even more than my concept I posted a couple months ago prior to the unveiling, which goes to show how happy I am with how the rebrand turned out.
