  1. It's hard to explain why, but that striping pattern (navy/red/white/red/navy) feels to me like it would fit better for a team like the UK or France. Also, I purposefully tried to avoid the red & navy touching with the initial set, inspired by the Twins rebrand.
  2. Thanks! I originally thought of doing navy/red/navy for the stripe pattern, but it looked strange to me when the wordmark was solid navy. I suppose I could go more red-centric with the wordmark, but that doesn't necessarily fit the slightly more modernized take I was going for: I didn't want to go navy/white/red with the stripes either, as that would be running too close to Twins territory, which the set is already veering a little close to as-is.
  3. United States of America I was aiming for a more traditional, timeless look, with a wordmark derived from the main Team USA logo that covers all national teams.
  4. Catching up a bit since my last post: Canada: Looks good! I'm honestly impressed they managed to create a wordmark that looks modern and fresh while still tying into their dated cap logo quite nicely. I like that the stripes match the wordmark as well. Colombia: The updates you made to them are improvements, I do feel it is important generally speaking for them that the blue separates the yellow & red, so that the warmer colors don't blend together (the previous Twins set had a similar issue). Great Britain: Once again the updates really make this set, it looks nice & classic, I especially love the Union Jack alternate, that's probably my favorite jersey of the series so far. Mexico: I like the split-color style of the main jerseys, and I especially like the neon-lights vibe of the alternate. USA: This set feels patriotic to the max, and I dig it. The alternating pins is a nice compromise between going with just one or the other, as I feel navy would be too drab, and red too bright/pink-ish. For the red alternate, I'd maybe suggest going with more same-size, geometric stars, like the flag, as the different-sized stars make me think of space (which I guess isn't the worst thing, as the US obviously played a big part in the "Space Race"). I like the red & white stripes on the navy alternate. Dominican Republic: Probably my favorite overall set of the series so far, the main home & away feel like they'd be right at home in the 1950's, in the best way. I'm not sure how I feel about the inclusion of navy on the alternate, but I get why you did it in order to continue the flag motif. Maybe there's a way to maintain that but with just red & white? Looking forward to seeing the last few teams!
  5. Thailand (ประเทศไทย) The sleeve stripes are once again inspired by the flag, and the alternate features the country name in Thai.
  6. Thanks! I very nearly dropped the gray jersey in favor of red, but I ended up not doing it. Here's a look, though: Thank you! Yeah, including all of the flag colors in the wordmark & numbers was a more subtle detail that I didn't get to mention. As for your suggestion, to be honest I'm not entirely sure what you mean: are you suggesting that I extend the "stripes" of the flag to be the main aspect of the sleeves, as opposed to going with the flag pattern? If that's the case, I'd want to avoid doing that, because I like that the flag itself distributes all of the colors more evenly.
  7. Spain (España) I wanted to go a bit more gold-heavy for Spain than I did for the other red and gold team, China. The sleeve striping is inspired by the flag, and the alternate features the country name in English, a bit of a reversal of my typical format.
  8. South Africa I brought back the flag stripe pattern on the sleeves from the original WBC. The alternate might be a little bit out there but I wanted to try it: I went with a design that translates the flag into the entire jersey.
  9. Puerto Rico I essentially went back to their 2006 design, and added a blue alternate.
  10. This is awesome! I'm glad to see that I hopefully did the Philippines justice, that's what this is all about!
  11. Philippines (Pilipinas) I went with a dual-colored racing stripe inspired by the flag.
  12. Catching up on the Braves’ City Connect: It’s fine, if not a little uninspired. It’s a safe move, for sure, but considering what could have been, it might not have been the worst choice. Pretty much all of the minor changes they made compared to the throwbacks are upgrades to me, though: the “standalone” A looks nice on the chest, I’m glad they went with the uppercase A on the hat to match, and the pants striping is unique and interesting. I don’t buy for a second that the sleeve design is a crown, as NikeSpeak™ would try to have me believe, but it’s a nice workaround if they wanted to keep the idea of the feather. It seems to me that, even if they could have kept the throwbacks around for a handful of games, that they really wanted to have it as a mainstay in their rotation, and that the only way to do that without dropping any of their other jerseys would be to use the City Connect for it. I imagine a team like the Yankees might go this route & avoid leaning into the “City” aspect of the program (even though that’s kind of supposed to be the whole point).
  13. Panamá I went with a dual-colored sleeve design, inspired by the flag.
  14. Thanks! I agree that it'd be a unique look, that I also don't think would be too outlandish.
  15. Pakistan (پاکِستان) I went with a one sleeve color design, inspired by the asymmetry of the flag. The alternate features the country name in Urdu. This set was also heavily inspired by @RoughRiders99's take on the team. EDIT: The alternate has been updated, as I was made aware the original was not an ideal translation of Urdu. The original can be seen here.
  16. Thanks. I guess the only options for that would be the Giants, Orioles, and Astros, and I don't think pinstripes would really fit for any of them, unfortunately. Thanks! For New Zealand in particular, I think all of the intrigue rests in the logos and wordmarks, so I didn't want to distract from that. Agreed about Nicaragua though, they didn't offer much to work with.
  17. Nicaragua Pretty simple uniforms with sleeve striping inspired by the flag.
  18. New Zealand (Aotearoa) After digging through Brandon Moore's legendary Open Branding Project for Baseball New Zealand, I didn't want to incorporate much to distract from the fantastic-looking logo marks and font, so I just went with subtle subliminal pinstripes.
  19. Thanks! I agree, their use of orange is so important, especially since they’re the only team in the tournament that really uses it as a color.
  20. Netherlands (Nederland) I went back to orange & black, the previous wordmark, and a dark gray jersey on the road. After seeing their newest uniforms included pinstripes, I also decided to add a bit of a unique flair by going with orange pinstripes at home.
  21. Thanks! I agree, although their red jersey grew on me, I do prefer them being a bit green-heavier, or at least balanced with the red. I could, I didn't like how the number looked that way in red though, so it would have to match the color orientation of the wordmark. I'm not sure whether I like this or the contrasting number more. Thank you!
  22. México The WBC's surprise team gets triple-color piping, and green returns to the pinstripes of the home jersey and as the alternate. The wordmark they've had since the original WBC is great though, no need to change that beyond the addition of an accent mark.
  23. Thank you! Just to clarify, are you suggesting that I try to make the Hebrew font match the away font more, or that I make the away font more of a block style? Thanks! I intended to go more of a simpler route for Korea, since all of their past uniforms have been so "out there" in different ways, but I've gotta say, the contrasting sleeves do look pretty good! Thanks! It is a nice middle ground color that really does work on both backgrounds, so I took advantage of it!
  24. Korea (대한민국) I liked the trapezoid pattern design they went with for the 2013 WBC, so I brought that back by making it the sleeve stripe. I also went back to the brighter blue of previous WBCs. For the alternate, I went with a black-out inspired by the stripes of the flag.
