  1. Sean McDermott and Brandon Beane love bringing in former Panthers players and coaches to Buffalo. It's very unlikely to happen, but I wonder if they'd consider signing Cam Newton as a backup.
  2. I'm sorry but the red facemask is still my favorite, with navy blue being a close second.
  3. Is it just me or do the shoulder stripes look slimmer?
  4. This is a joke, right? A guy who caught 7 TDs in one postseason, including three against your team in a NFCCG, never played in a game that actually mattered? As for Brady finally leaving the Patriots, all I can say is that on behalf of all my fellow AFC East fans who have been tormented for the last 19 years, it's time to say.... GOODBYE TOBY BRADY!!!
  5. The Bills now have two 1,000 receiving threats in John Brown and Stephon Diggs. Now we're truly going to find out if Josh Allen is the real deal or not. He made big strides from Year 1 to Year 2, but now he's got to become a consistently accurate passer and a better decision-maker. If Diggs didn't like playing with Kirk Cousins, a guy who targeted him 243 times over the last two seasons, then he's not going to like playing with Allen if he doesn't get the ball enough.
  6. Just a little bit of gold makes those unis look amazing! That doesn't look half bad.
  7. We just don't know how long it's going to take for this virus to be contained. I honestly don't see how the NBA is going to be able to finish the season, barring a miracle that lets them resume in the next two months. If (And it's a big "if") they can get back up and running by late May, they could start the playoffs and have the Finals finish by late July, which means there's no way the current Team USA roster is going to be playing in Tokyo. But that's an extremely optimistic outlook considering where we're at right now. I really hope I'm wrong about this, but I believe the 2019-2020 NBA season is finished.
  8. Watching sporting events from around the country, especially the men/women's NCAA tournaments, with no fans in attendance is going to be one of the weirdest things we've ever experienced. But public safety is the most important thing right now, so I'm glad this is being done. I'm also grateful that we'll still get to see these games played on TV. We could certainly use a distraction even if it's only for a few hours a day.
  9. Who wants to bet that this new Rams logo will last about as long as this infamous one did...
  10. So I thought the players were against a 17-game schedule? Also, we already have most teams clinching playoff berths and divisions by Week 17. No one is going to care about which 9-7 9-8 team is going to get in as a 7th seed come mid-January. I know that more games equals more revenue, but they don't need to fix things that aren't broken. The 16-game schedule is fine as is and so is the current playoff format.
  11. They should have just made Gordon and Jones Jr. co-champions tonight. They were both amazing and did some stuff that I've never seen before. It's hard to top the 2016 contest, but I think this one was right next to it.
  12. Yeah I just don't see how the league could pull off flexing a Sunday game to Monday night. ESPN is basically stuck with what they have, unless they want to try and outbid NBC for the rights to Sunday Night Football, which I doubt would ever happen. This is what happens when there's too many primetime packages to fill, there's just not enough marquee games to go around between TNF, SNF and MNF (plus the FOX and CBS afternoon slots). There's probably no way of doing this due to NBC getting the best games, but MNF should go back to it's pre-2006 schedule format where playoff teams from the year before were rewarded by being almost exclusively featured, while all the teams with bad records from the previous year were left out. But to do this, the NFL would have to take some of these good matchups away from the TNF schedule. In a perfect world, TNF would be reduced down to 8 mediocre matchups played late in the season like it used to be, which would free up some better games for MNF. This way, high-profile teams like the Chiefs and 49ers could have multiple MNF appearances which would draw higher ratings, and you can put them back on ABC. I know it's a fantasy, but this would be so much better.
  13. I'm a big fan of the new graphics, it made watching the game on TV a little more exciting yesterday. I think this new FOX scorebug is a HUGE improvement over what they were using the last few years. I got tired of seeing full nicknames in the old one when a logos or city abbreviations would have been better. However, I still wish they would have gone back to a 2000s-era top bar scorebug. Imagine how great the new scorebug would look if they stretched it out across top of the screen. It would look similar to the 2003 version:
  14. Congratulations Chiefs fans! I'm so happy for Sammy Watkins. I was so angry when the Bills traded him away a few years back. He's a big-time play-maker when he's healthy and a good guy off of the field. That was a really fun game. I thought for sure that 49ers had it in the bag up 20-10, but you can't let up against Mahomes and this Chiefs team. Forgive me for being unaware but who/what is Urinating Tree? Fixed.
  15. Very cool to see the NFL 100 All-Time team on the field during the pregame ceremony.
  16. I don't disagree with this. And you're right about the seemingly lower standards that have been set. Based on stats alone, if Edgerrin James can get in, then apparently so should Shaun Alexander, Priest Holmes, Ricky Williams Steven Jackson, etc.. But on the flip side of that, Eli Manning is probably going into the HOF having been a fairly above average QB throughout most of his career, but he won two Super Bowls so... It's tough to strike a balance between statistics, how valuable a player was to his team and championships. I'm probably biased because Holt was one of my favorite players to watch in the 2000s. I don't think he should be excluded off that list of Warner, Faulk, Bruce and Pace. I was shocked when Warner got in because I thought he didn't play long enough. But if he can get in, then so should a guy who was a perennial top 10 WR for almost a decade despite playing on some bad Rams teams during the late 00's.
  17. So happy to see Isaac Bruce finally get into the HOF. People forget that he was second all-time in receiving yards when he retired in 2009. Hopefully Torry Holt will be joining him in Canton soon, I think he's the last core member left from the Greatest Show on Turf era who is not in yet. Overall, I like this 2020 class. Edgerrin James is sort of forgotten as one of the best RBs of his era. Troy Polamalu as a first-ballot HOFer was a no-brainer. Steve Hutchinson was probably the best guard in football for a decade. And Steve Atwater's induction is long overdue, I'm glad to see him finally get in.
  18. And yet it's a total upgrade over the Titans' current road jersey. Replace the red with columbia blue in that side panel, switch out the Giants logos on the sleeves and it totally looks like what the Titans should be wearing right now.
  19. Thank God. I'm hoping they bring back a variation of the full top bar scorebugs they used from 2001-2009. Anything will be better than the boring scorebug they've been using for the past few years.
  20. IMO, this will be the best looking Super Bowl since 2010... 2011 was great too... I'm just glad we're starting off the new decade with a such a great Super Bowl uni matchup.
  21. Awesome news! Have we got confirmation that the Bucs are changing yet or are those still just rumors?
  22. If the Titans make it to the Super Bowl, they should just wear this: Still 100x better than what they're wearing now.
