One of my biggest pet peeves in the NFL, especially as of recent as it seems to be more common over the past few years, are teams wearing their Alternate uniforms vs a team from the opposite conference. These matchups are super rare, only once every 4/8 years for certain uniform combos. The only exception I have is when both teams are wearing era appropriate Throwbacks*, but that almost never happens.

EDIT: *Though to clarify now that if a team's current uniform is the same as it was back then, that would be fine as an "era appropriate throwback"

I'm personally a big fan of the Chiefs White on White look, preferring it over White on Red. From what I can tell, everyone on the Chiefs has the striped White socks, it just depends who has their socks pulled up all the way and who doesn't.

Also my Vikings are finally wearing Purple socks with their White pants . So all and all, I would consider this a good uniform matchup, Would be even better if the Chiefs wore their Red socks., In my opinion, White pants and White socks, even with sock stripes, doesn't look that great. That goes for the Chiefs, Patriots throwbacks, Bears, etc...

As has been said already, the Vikings Throwback uniforms are GORGEOUS! Should be permanent, but hey, that's just me. Also helps that almost everyone is wearing Purple socks. Every player is, except for Justin Jefferson. I love his skills in the game, but his sock fashion is annoying. He's worn white leggings for pretty much every game, and it's getting annoying. At least do purple for the Throwback game.

It appears that Pepsi-Cola made with Real Sugar isn't getting any rebrand, for some reason. Pepsi's website, PepsiCo's website, and retailer websites still show it with the old "fat guy leaning down" logo that was just retired.

The Dolphins and Bills? Sure Eagles, you had plenty of other matchups you could have worn the throwback with. Looking at your home games, Kelly Green could have been worn against another team from the NFC East, the 49ers, the Vikings, heck, even the Cardinals. With alternate uniforms, I wish teams would stop wearing alternate uniforms versus interconfertnce opponents. These teams only come to your stadium once every eight years. I don't mind it for throwbacks if the opposing team is wearing an era accurate uniform/throwback as well, but that rarely happens.

And ofc, it seems like they're still gonna wear their Black jerseys some point this season too, with them only wearing the Kelly Greens two times.

One note. This is the 1965-1969 version of the Vikings Home uniform. Not the 1961-1964 version. The only difference is the lack of sock stripes. That’s unfortunate, but I’m still stoked to finally see Vikings throwbacks return, especially the 60’s version with the numbers outlined in gold.

They need to design a new set around their color rush look. Bengals did that and it is one of the best in the league. Change all gold elements to that bolder shade. Wear the same striping pattern - whatever it may be - on all three pairs of pants. Keep it simple and let the colors speak for themselves. And, as much as I know I’m tilting at windmills here, a pair of black-gold striped socks would do wonders.

Seahawks Throwback to be worn vs the Browns. I’m guessing it’s because they’re an AFC team.

Bit of an old quote, but bumping it because been quite a lot of talk and rumors in Vikings circles online about a Throwback Uniform coming in 2023. There's been rumors of either the 1970-1995 Uniform or the 1996-2005 Uniform returning as an alternate this year. Myself, I much prefer the 1961-1969 Uniform, which is just the 1970-1995 Uniform but with Gold trim. But I'd be happy with either one returning in some ay, shape, or form. As long as the 2006-2012 Reebok monstrosities never come back, I'm fine. I feel like they'll go with the '70-'95 Uniform, as they already wore that one as a Throwback from 2007-2011 and that's usually what fans think of when "Vikings Throwbacks" are mentioned.

They were so close! Just gotta never wear monochrome and shrink/remove the ARIZONA work mark and it's a good set. W/R/W/R, W/W/W/R, and W/W/R/W could all be good looks potentially. But they're prob just gonna stick to monochrome 24/7.

"Clean and Classic" and "Top to bottom, unison color" do not go hand-in-hand...

Really hoping they don't wear 100% mono every week, but we all know that ain't happening.  Also, the ARIZONA on the Home jersey sucks.
