  1. Here it is with smaller numbers and a straight line on the right side of Tahoma, and also a different shade of cyan for the outline.
  2. These are pretty good on the whole. Shubenacadie - Pretty good, though the lion from the NS Flag is too detailed to put at such a small size on the crest, it would be a nightmare to embroider, I'd probably just remove it and the nub it sits on. Tofino Greys - Not sold on the font and it's use in a roundel with all those flourishes. I'd probably find a font that suits a roundel better, though the rest of the crest is nice. North Bay Royals - I'd make the letters interlock instead of just having the B over the N.
  3. According to the marketing fluff, the aqua was used only as an outline because the Green and Blue are the main colours going forward, and the Aqua is a link to the NASL days. I wouldn't be surprised if for the new home kit, the only place the Aqua is used is on the crest.
  4. As mentioned before, it's almost certainly a fake and the actual LA jersey might be very different, but it does look good - from the front at least. From the back though, it has the same solid back and huge, ungainly back panels that blighted a lot of the MLS shirts from this year. https://www.footyheadlines.com/2023/09/lafc-2024-home-kit.html
  5. There's a mistake with the article with regards the crest history. It should say 1994 - 2008 for the Orca logo, not 1984 - 2008. The NASL club was folded after the 1983 Season, and a new Sounders club was formed in 1994, with the Orca logo being introduced that year.
  6. And next is a rejigged version of the new Sounders main crest. I like the outline in seaform green and the space needle, but feel like the rest of it misses the mark and I've never been a fan of the shades of blue and green the team has used since they joined MLS. The crest is now an emerald shape (inspired by VTGCO), the outline of Tahoma is at the top of the logo, and 1974 is now in Market Deco, a font based on the one used for the Pike Place Market sign. The shades used are navy and shade of green called Emerald Acres, with the newly introduced seafoam green as an accent colour. I kept the space needle, as it's a really nice depiction and as I've mentioned, one of the best parts of the newly revealed logo (which is very similar to the Space Needle from this concept by TLChandler).
  7. I think the gloves for the Mercs were canvas, but not sure about the colour of the Breezers.
  8. The Rave Green is still there and it's still pretty unpleasant, but it's been around since the team became a part of MLS, so I understand why it's there. As for the rest, it's okay, if a little bland. I do like the Orca, which is my fave part along with the representation of the Space Needle.
  9. The Oilers HC jersey is great, but those pants and gloves look totally out of place and making them the same shade of blue as the jersey would have been a much better bet.
  10. Just thought I'd start a new thread on Soccer Designs. - I like clean designs, with a Factory Pomo influence, modern art influence. For emblems, I try to steer clear of the "City Group Roundel" style as much as possible - Not a fan of Stars above logos, so you'll not see any in this thread. I just think it looks tacky. - This thread is an AI Free Zone. As with so much in life, @Dril said it best. - This will mainly be a thread for crests and shirts, but other stuff will pop up. Kit designs will follow crests usually. First up is the emblem for Italian national team. This is sort of a cross between the i logo used between 1991 and 1999, and the previous crest introduced in 2017. The tricolour and gold old school football are against a navy background, I always liked how the navy on the crest looked and how it worked with the gold. I left the Italia and FIGC script off, as I think a lowercase I with the Tricolour speaks for itself. The font used for the presentation is SS Nickson One.
  11. The Sounders never won the Concacaf Champions League while wearing a roundel, and don't have a history with roundel logos for their main, so a generic City Group roundel would be a massive, loaded with low end and with plenty of reverb, Wet Fart. I'm not opposed to roundels if they have some originality and are done well, but if they swap the current one for a boring roundel, then I would prefer they kept the old crest (and fixed the green), which at least had some creativity with the two shields.
  12. I second the sleeve feathers. And also a similar shade of metallic gold Atlanta United use might work better than the black, or compliment it.
  13. If the move across the Hudson had happened, then I would like to think that the headspoon and the Tuscan font for the road would have stayed around, as it's a beautiful design and the Mets are a team for whom mismatched scripts for home and road make sense and just work. Love to see the classic Mets road Jerseyfied.
  14. Some really nice designs and good ideas here My thoughts on all the jerseys Jets – Good set, like all the Jerseys here, though the whiteout is more of a greyout. Caps – The home and the road look great, the first alt is a bit too similar to the road in colour, could do with different logos to distinguish it from the clash. Not feeling the cream on the second alt, white would look nicer. Vegas – The sparkly gold looks really chintzy (which is a similar problem I have with the Knights jerseys IRL) and the crossed swords and star logo is missed on them. Also you’ve got three jerseys that have a similar colour scheme, which feels a bit redundant. Canucks – Apart from the stripes on the front of the Alt being too high up (it would look a lot better having it moved down so that the stick in rink isn’t over the stripes), this is a real solid set. Leafs – Decent set, though I would have liked to have seen the 2014 Winter Classic striping on one jersey at least Tampa Bay – The home, road and Alt 1 are really good. Like the Canucks Alt 1, the Bolts Alt 2 could do with the design moved down so that the logo isn’t over it. I’d also use white instead of the light grey for the main sleeve and hem stripes for the home and clash. Blues – Home and Road look great, not sold on the pretty drab first alternate when a navy jersey would be a lot more fitting for a team named the Blues. Seattle – Primary looks great, as does the road except for the red collar trim which would look much nicer with the ice blue. The first alternate has really nasty colours (Mariners colours are much nicer IMO and more fitting for the Kraken), the second alternate is great. Sharks – Home and road are great, the first alternate would look a lot nicer with the pattern being confined to the centre stripe. Penguins – The Primary should really be the clash, and the primary should really be black. Not feeling the clash at all, and with the gold triangle representing the golden triangle of Pittsburgh, the recoloured logos for the clash and the second alternate lose that meaning. The first Alternate is really good though. Flyers – not feeling the mismatched sleeves and hem of the primary and clash, and it feels like there is too much black on the primary. The two alts are good, but the F logo, while nice enough, isn’t the classic flyers logo, which is one of the best in the business. Sens – home and change are great, though swapping the gold out for black for the home collar would be an upgrade. The first change is nice, but I would have kept the white on the logo and made the center stripe white and put shoulder logos on it too. Rangers – I would make either the first or the second alt white, as you’ve got three blue jerseys. Otherwise, this is another good set. Islanders – Not a fan of the anchor/Brooklyn Bridge logo, as Brooklyn Bridge isn’t in Long Island (Nassau and Suffolk Counties) and the team didn’t have a good time at the Barclays Center, which was a bad venue for Hockey. Apart from that, I like all the jerseys here. NJ – Love all of the Jerseys here, probably the best set IMHO. Preds – Another solid set, I dig the alternate and the home and road are the definition of simple but effective. MTL – Home and Road are classic habs, the powder blue and cream do not go well with each other at all and it would look a lot nicer with the medium blue. Wild – The home is okay, but I like the road a lot more and feel like that should be the home. The alternates are really nice too. LA – this set is great, and glad the Burger King and a gold alternate is present. Florida – The home and Road are great, not sure why you stuffed the panther into the fridge for the first alternate, as the gold would look great and it’s separated from the powder blue. The Vice set looks nice. All in all, there is a lot more good ideas than bad, looking forward to the final 12 teams.
  15. I like the NY Pirates, but it feels like at least one jersey (probably the Black Alternate) in the set should have just the NY monogram on the front. I'm also wondering what a We Are Family pinstriped style home would look like. The sky blue and navy Tides look the best, a team from Norfolk without navy just looks wrong. It's probably for the best the Marlins never moved, just one look at the Hampton Roads area on Google Earth will show just why there aren't any major league teams there and that isn't going to change any time soon. The area has the titular waterway in the middle and there are other waterways separating the various cites, and much of those cities are suburbs, so while Hampton Roads has the population (1.7 million), it's really spread out. With two of the major economic drivers of the area being the Military and Tourism, that leads to a large itinerant population, so combine that with the spread out population, it's not a surprise that the area has no teams in the big four and that the attempts to bring a team there all failed. I doubt the Marlins would have done better in Norfolk than they have been doing in Miami.
  16. The orange and black trim still looks ugly on the trim, though it does look slightly better with the reduction of the orange. The orange would contrast well enough with the white and teal without the black, or you could just get rid of the saturated orange and the black and in their place, use the gold from the home and road instead on the trim. For the logos, use the gold instead of the orange. I'd also use either the striping from the original jerseys, the striping for the home and road you used (that looks great) or the striping from the current alt instead of the side panels.
  17. The colours and the side panels don't really work for the alternate, the purple, teal, orange and black don't work well together and actual hem striping instead of side panels would be much preferable. I think there is a way to tie the two identities of the Ducks together, but swapping out silver for orange in their original colour scheme ain't it.
  18. The Bisons look great and the script is brilliant. Though in a universe without the Expos, would we have even seen Racing Stripes in the MLB? Speaking of the Expos, after Norfolk failed to land what used to be Expos, there were talks to bring the Marlins to Hampton Roads. The article about the possible relocation is mentioned in the ninth citation for the Norfolk Destroyers post in the Defunct Saga.
  19. Both the home and road would look so much better without the hoop being broken by the side panel on the jersey, it looks really unpleasant as is.
  20. The two sites are still awful, both are well away from downtown, one is the site of a failed shopping mall and the other is next to a freeway surrounded by single family housing and what will probably become single family housing. The two sites are better then the location in Glendale though.
  21. Both the sites named in the article would both be absolutely atrocious sites for a new arena and the team are just going to have the same problems they had at Glendale.
  22. I like StP, but it has the same problem I have with the Twin Cities alternate - the white and cream on the same uniform, and the white bleeds into the cream. Just the cream would work perfectly. The pig on the sleeve on the alt is absolutely fantastic. In the long term, it was for the best that the Cards never moved to Motown. When the population started to decline, they would almost certainly have been looking to relocate and probably gone by the 1970s or 80s. There is no way that two teams could have survived in a city that was losing thousands of residents every year and is mostly car dependant suburbs.
  23. They should have kept the leaves and not blanded out the can. The new font is nice though.
  24. The alternates look fantastic, especially the blue with the Tuscan font. I'd like to see the Tuscan font and the side design across the board, as it looks distinctive and really neat. I'd also have a patch with The Survivor Tree somewhere in the set.
  25. Chicago Blues - It's hard to go wrong with Sky Blue and Navy as a combo, and this concept is no exception, the main logo and the striping look great. Guards - the improvements you made really kick this one up a notch, the collar and the helmet really make this set. Lancers - Like how the austerity of the colours contrast with the Guards and the main logo looks the business.
