I am kinda confused at the timing of all thing, to be honest. If they decided to lean into the Oilers colors around the time they had those really good teams with Schaub, Foster and Andre Johnson, that'd make sense, or even after they drafted Clowney. The franchise was young, and well the branding was solid, it was young enough to where it wouldn't really matter. But 20 years into the league where they've fully been established ? I don't know, that feels off to me.

So I don't know if this is wrong per se, I'm honestly just much more curious then anything else because as a new-ish hockey fan, I'm not sure which is right or wrong. But if you've played NHL 23 (and I think it's been the same for a bit), and you look at the Stars uniforms, you see they have their 90s/Edge set, the original North Stars jerseys, and also the Barons and two different Seals jerseys. I could be wrong but from what I know, wouldn't the Seals/Barons jerseys be more in line for the Sharks, given how the Gund family split off from (North) Stars ownership in the early 90s ? Did their share only include some players and not like their history before the Barons merged with the North Stars ? Especially with the Sharks this very year leaning into the Seals jerseys, I'm really curious. It is probably just EA assigning jerseys based off of dates on Wikipedia, but who does own the Seals/Barons history ? Gahhhhh the NHL is so bush league! -
Ironically, I think LeBron is the only player who looks, relatively speaking, Right, in a sleeved jersey. And only after he cut the sleeves, lol. Even on other 2016 Cavs it looks bizzare, and that's without the even worse designs in 2014.

Both on here, and just in general, I've definitely noticed people, maybe not hating, but saying that the Saints current uniforms are bad and their throwbacks (well, the expansion look, not the Dome Patrol one) are much better, but I really like their current set, at least without black pants. Much prefer them over the brighter gold.

This one's a case of both, wrong uniform, and wrong conference And then this isn't the "right team" necessarily, but I do think people remember Jason Kidd as a Sun, but I don't think most associate the 7SOL look with him, or him having his shaved head New Jersey look in PHX. (Sorry if either or both have been posted, I looked thru the last 8, and then the first 10 for both)

Yeah, I feel like people forget/don't really remember that the Lions made the playoffs more often then they didn't in the 90s. A semi competently ran team till Millen set them back a decade, and then some. And yes I absolutely agree that their 90s set was their best look, I actually did a Madden franchise recently where I exclusively used them. Really good look, though I don't hate either of their post 2000s look, though I do prefer the old logo weirdly.

I saw a lot of people crap on them, at least on the wolves reddit, when they were revealed, but watching them, I actually quite like the wolves' statement jerseys. I wouldn't mind some elements from it creeping over into the main set.

I feel like with Darius Slay, at least from what it seems, he's using "Slay" as his brand, well acknowledging "Slay Jr." as his birth name with it being the NOB, which sounds perfectly reasonable to me.
