  1. No and no. The less neon green jerseys and pants, the better. Neon green being used as a primary color for any uniform element sickens me in a way that I don't think any other uniform color ever has.
  2. People on this site have said that the Raiders still use shiny material for their uniforms, but just look at the massive difference between these two photos.
  3. I really wonder if this lasts past this season. I know the NHL said that Fanatics will be using the same factories to make the on-ice jerseys, but I haven't heard anything on whether they're changing the template. The last two times they changed templates (2007-08 and 2017-18), they played a season without alternates before allowing them the season after.
  4. Yeah, I would much prefer royal blue, but if they really insist on navy blue then give me this set
  5. Needs. A. White. Jersey. Sorry, can't get behind a non-white road jersey.
  6. Again, no complaints about the color scheme, just fire the neon green jerseys into the sun. No matter what pants they wear with them, those jerseys are painful to look at.
  7. Objectively it probably looks better, but it's just so jarring to see a new font on this logo that I really don't know what to think of this.
  8. It's not just you - the lettering on the Rangers' shield logo has not been updated in half a century, and to me it looks like the logo (and its lettering) was likely hand-drawn. The "E" in "NEW" is also weird.
  9. Navy blue/neon green is an interesting color scheme, but I'd like the Seahawks to keep the throwback around as their alternate to replace the neon green jerseys. I really don't get why anyone likes those jerseys.
  10. Absolutely. As I said before, nearly every alternate and special jersey design the Rangers have made have been designed to look like they're 100 years old. There's a reason for that. They're a classic franchise that has no need for something this gimmicky. In the modern age of third jerseys, here's each O6 team's alternate jerseys: Red Wings: Never had one Canadiens: 2006-07: 1940s white jersey Blackhawks: 1996-97 to 2008-09: Black alternate with main crest 2009-10: 2009 Winter Classic jersey Maple Leafs: 1998-99 to 2010-11: 1960s white jersey 2011-12 to 2015-16: 1967 blue jersey 2021-22 to present: BFBS Rangers: 1996-97 to 1997-98, 1999-00 to 2006-07: Lady Liberty blue 1998-99: Lady Liberty white 2010-11 to 2016-17: Heritage fauxback 2023-24: This thing Bruins: 1995-96 to 2005-06: Pooh Bear 2006-07: Bobby Orr era black 2008-09 to 2015-16: Bear logo alternate 2016-17: 2016 Winter Classic jersey 2019-20 to 2022-23: Varsity B Letter 2023-24: Special 100th anniversary alt Out of those, the only alternates I'd consider to be "modern" are the Pooh Bear, Lady Liberty, Leafs BFBS, and this jersey. Otherwise, it's mostly all throwbacks, fauxbacks, and standard alternates that don't try to push the envelope in any way.
  11. Are you here to critique NHL uniforms or are you here to tell us no one cares about hockey? Come on. These comments bring zero value to the discussion.
  12. I don't know, they're doing fine. They sell out every game. Dolan does literally nothing regarding the Rangers except sign checks. They've been by far the more successful of the two MSG franchises. Honestly, I'd take being third on MSG's depth chart any day of the week.
  13. I'm just shocked that this is the direction the team has chosen to take -- the last time they had a "modern" alternate was the Lady Liberty jerseys, which were last worn on a regular basis in 2007. This is the first time since then that they've had a jersey that wasn't meant to look like it's 100 years old (excluding the 2014 Stadium Series jersey, which they just ripped off of the AHL team). Still not sure how I feel about the design, I'll reserve judgement until I see it on the ice.
  14. Here's the marketing spiel if anyone wants to read it:
  15. Not going to happen- the Seahawks have worn that throwback twice already and wore their puke green alternates for Thanksgiving, so they have no alternate slots left.
  16. I always heard it's because they kept losing big games in royal blue, including Super Bowl V and the NFC Championship Game the year before, so they felt the previous uniforms were cursed.
  17. Horrible take imo. I feel like the NHL is the most "professional"- looking league left. When colored helmets with white jerseys is the most revolutionary development in the NHL's aesthetics, you're talking about a pretty traditional league. And even if "professional" looks were a thing of the past, that's not an excuse to then say "No one else is doing things that make sense, I'll do something completely random as well!"
  18. Right - the key here (to me) is silver and royal blue, not silver and navy blue. The addition of the navy jersey in 1981 is what started them down this path.
  19. Yeah, I've seen articles from players talking about how they don't have time to recover from a Sunday game before TNF, so their bodies aren't ready for the game, which contributes to the sloppiness.
  20. Any excitement about TNF that I have is canceled out by Al Michaels literally not caring about a single thing that goes on in the game. Seriously, he's an all-time great broadcaster, but he sounds like he doesn't want to be there.
  21. He really went from the Stanley Cup Finals to one of the worst teams of the cap era
  22. Props to the Seahawks for all committing to proper socks, complete with the white on the bottom.
