  1. Just counting the days until they go white-on-white for the first time in years and call themselves the "Polar Bears "
  2. Questionable roughing the passer calls have gone against every single team in the NFL for the past few years. I don't think that's an example of the refs being against the Eagles. The Eagles O-Line has been known to go earlier than they should, I'm glad that they're finally getting called for false starts. They got away with it for a year and a half already. You're right, they're not getting hosed more than other teams, and based on what I've seen, the opposite is true. They're being called for less penalties than they should.
  3. Also, how good can Frank Reich be when he had his receivers in Carolina doing this
  4. Curious though, are the Eagles built to run Reich's offensive scheme? (I don't know that much about the Eagles or how he runs his offense) I do wonder how adjusting to a new system over halfway into the season could affect them. Regarding Steichen, I don't see that happening. Anthony Richardson looked promising in the time that he played before he got injured and he's still winning games with Gardner Minshew at quarterback. He's probably there for at least the next couple of seasons.
  5. Please do let him run the Eagles offense. The Niners could use any leg up they can get on the Eagles.
  6. It's not a bad alternate to be honest. Just don't wear it on the road for random color vs color matchups. Barf.
  7. Again tho, why are they wearing the throwbacks on the road against another silver and blue team? It really makes no sense. Dallas isn't even an AFC team, which might've made sense since they were in the AFC when they originally wore these uniforms.
  8. Weakest is all-navy. Second weakest is all-royal. Then there's a great chasm the size of the Grand Canyon before we talk about any of the other combos.
  9. Would be nice to see the Chiefs in white pants, red socks for this one a la Super Bowl I.
  10. A simple fix would've made this one an all-timer.
  11. I'll be honest, I have no idea what the connection you're trying to make is. Those jerseys were not navy, and they have white pants. The current uniform is clearly an attempt at a "" color rush uniform.
  12. I don't have that much of a problem with horrible uniform combos if they're literally worn once a year. That's sort of what happens with the Buccaneers' pewter jerseys, and it's also why I don't mind teams like the 49ers, Giants, and Cowboys doing their look -- it doesn't dominate their aesthetic choices. The rest of that division has uniforms as terrible as their current rosters, but I have no problem with the Buccaneers doing their pewter thing once a year, just as long as it never becomes more common than that. Where I do have a problem with the pewter is them forcing a color vs color in what could have been a gorgeous matchup in Indy if they wore white over pewter. If you're going to wear your gimmicky monocolor combo, wear it at home against a team in a white jersey.
  13. Still not the biggest fan of the Bruins' centennial jerseys (besides the logo, which I think is their best ever), but they looked great against the Rangers' home blues
  14. I think every team in every sport should have a white home/road jersey (depending on the sport). Too many teams turn white jerseys into an absolute joke by forcing the look, but a grey or gold jersey should NEVER be the primary road look in football. Grey jerseys just looked washed out and that gold jersey looked way too gimmicky.
  15. Leafs in white helmets again against Chicago
  16. That's fair. I just have no clue how to gauge a uniform that I haven't seen 70% of when these "reveals" get posted.
  17. That type of reveal isn't new. It happened as well with the Reverse Retro reveals. And I was just as critical of it then. I mean, what is the point? None of these people look remotely like hockey players, especially when they're decked out in size XXXL. The Nordiques model even has their sleeve rolled up!
  18. I don't have much of a problem with the Niners all white -- they only do it once a year.
  19. Nah, if they're gonna change the Lions' primaries, which I don't think they need to, Barry Sanders era or bust.
  20. I was with you until the refs part. What are you talking about? The new rule explicitly states that the two teams cannot wear helmets of the same color. There are many reasons why officiating is horrible in this league, but I really don't see this being one of them.
  21. I'm tired of this debate at this point. I don't like colored helmets on the road, and that opinion's not changing. I have no further comment on this.
  22. I think you're in the minority here, and it's not even anything to do with the design of the new jersey, but the fact that it was only brought back for nostalgia. When a jersey is brought back solely for nostalgia, I think people simply prefer a direct throwback. An example I can use is the NFL New York Giants. Their throwback jerseys feature royal blue, but due to manufacturing difficulties in the 80s, the original uniforms had navy helmets. When the Giants brought back that throwback for 2011, they paired it with their present-day royal blue helmet shells. But when they later wore the blue version of their throwbacks, they brought back the navy shell for nostalgia's sake, and this past season they wore the white throwbacks again, but with the navy shell that's accurate to the original: And people loved it. Not because it looks better. but because that's how it originally was. My point is that when you have throwbacks that you're just wearing as throwbacks, people want a direct throwback, even if there's a way to improve upon the original design.
