What a rollercoaster of a game. I spent a lot of the third period screaming obscenities at the refs after one of the most baffling disallowed goals I've ever seen at the end of the second. I'm so happy for Laf, he's had a lot of criticism thus far in his career.

Yeah, that's why I'm not enamored with the throwbacks the same way the rest of the fanbase is. It's the only time that the 49ers degenerate into legging madness.

I just noticed that there's a navy side panel on that jersey. It's so unnecessary, please remove it.

Considering he's All-Pro Talanoa Hufanga, and he had a pick today, I don't think so. But yeah, I don't like the majority of the team wearing white socks on the road. Props to the O line for all wearing the proper red socks though.

Way off topic but I went to see the San Diego Gulls tonight and I was shocked how much I liked the look of what is essentially a recolored Reebok Flames jersey Idk the light blue just popped. I guess my point here is that an ugly modern uniform template can really be improved by vibrant color scheme, but using the darker, muted colors of the 2000s made those Reebok designs flop.

-The Cardinals' red stripeless pants are horrible. -The Jaguars can pull it off depending on their jersey/sock choice. The Commies also wear contrasting socks with their burgundy and white stripeless pants from time to time, but their jerseys are so bad that it doesn't matter, they still look terrible (this year they've done all white a whole bunch of times and it does not work)

Owners designing the uniforms with their personal preferences is bad enough. Now we have the owner's spouse (otherwise not involved with the team) being the primary designer? Thank goodness the Snyders are gone.

Speaking of not using Nike as much as other teams, where do the Packers get their uniform from? And why are they still allowed to keep their (at this point) over a decade out-of-date template?

Their white jersey combos are even worse because there's no gold anywhere on the uniform to match the helmet (there's a tiny gold outline around the numbers, but it makes no difference):

With the Lions I'm still wondering how they were ever allowed to wear white pants. They literally don't match with anything, they're just plain white. No design or thought put into them.

I don't agree. The Panthers are one of the worst offenders because they insist on wearing the black pants with silver helmets.

Metallic-colored helmets should always be worn with metallic-colored pants. That's what it comes down to.

Unfortunately they'd probably just take a page out of the Lions' book and wear silver pants and white socks.

No. White jersey and black leggings just does not look good. As much as we make fun of all black and all white looks, there are way too many of these combos.

Please, please, please wear black socks with this.

I have no problems with the jersey. It's a fine looking jersey. Unfortunately, the jersey is not the only part of the uniform. And I simply cannot ignore the complete disaster that is their pants/socks decisions. Until they fix that, the new Patriots uniforms are firmly bottom-tier.
