  1. I'll be flying Vietnam this spring, maybe I'll show this to the flight attendants and tell them they need to play for my team.
  2. I don't think the current look is bad, especially after they just got rid of "DBACKS" this season which I didn't think was a good primary look. But I wish they went the route of the Phillies who have a throwback uni they wear regularly. Also, I have a question about the Braves uniform, with the firemen's axes, I've seen some people say that's a great connection to the city of Atlanta, but I'm confused at what the significance or connection is? Me searching google doesn't give me anything, so I'm a bit lost with that logo.
  3. Pretty nice, and if the Dbacks had sense they would have uniforms like this already
  4. My theory is that the Nationals were planning a rebrand after 2019 where they moved away from the curly W, but then they won the World Series and couldn't just ditch that. So instead they awkwardly introduced all these other styles (the white panel block W cap), but still kept their road grey set that 2019 made famous. And now we arrive where they are now.
  5. What more cities should push for is to stipulate that a team's payroll is in the top 1/3 of the league, or that at least 3,000 seats must be priced below a certain price point, etc. etc.? People clearly want these teams, or else all these cities wouldn't be doing the funding. So just own it! For historical perspective, Dodger Stadium has always had 56,000 seats because of some sort of deal when the Dodgers moved in.
  6. I thought it was just uniform nerds not liking the new uniforms, but this is making it to Wall Street Journal's front page... The names were one thing, the see-through stuff is just embarrassing.
  7. I think those are good suggestions all around. After implementing them, I like the navy alt a lot more now, it meshes with the rest of the uniforms better.
  8. Is it for their first game or entire season?
  9. I used to think that "Guardians" was a lame nickname, however as I've gotten used to hearing it, I've grown to like it. The fact they integrated local architecture into their team identity is pretty sweet. I think it's the fact that they basically kept their pre-Guardians uniforms and put the new nickname on the front instead that made them seem lame. Made them seem like a movie-knockoff version of the team that couldn't get a rights deal with MLB. Since then, the Guardians have had lots of success, but not much fan interest. They've been 8th last in attendance, didn't sell out a playoff game, and had a weird, botched remodel where they replaced their upper deck with shipping containers (really, what?). It's time to inject new Cleveland energy into their baseball franchise. The first thing I toyed with was some synergy with the other two Cleveland teams, the Browns and the Cavaliers First, the Guardians in Browns' colors: Next, the Guardians in Cavs colors: I really liked both, but I felt like the Cavs color scheme was the more conservative choice, as their red-wine and navy color is close enough to the Guardians current red-blue scheme. The maroon/wine red color isn't used in baseball currently, and the wine/gold rebrand allows us to inject new energy into this tired Guardians franchise. So, debuting concurrently with their stadium re-remodel (getting rid of those shipping crates), I present to you the new, improved Cleveland Guardians: We have a basic home white, a red wine alternate, a navy home alternate, and a classic road grey. I made sure to utilize their ball/feathered G logo as I feel like the "C" logo doesn't stand on its own. Previously, they had the C and Chief Wahoo, now we have the C and the guardian ball. I don't think it's a perfect logo, but it's decent and is the only thing besides the name that actually points to the guardian statues, so it stays. This is my first time making any kind of concept like this, so let me know what you think. Do you like the revamped Guardians?
  10. It is navy, BYU claimed it was "dark royal" however (their traditional color had been royal). It was mostly the generous use of tan that made me think of that. Your uniforms are like an alternative universe BYU where nike has them keep royal but integrates the then-in-vogue tan. Much better than BYU's actual look back then. I'd also love to see the KC baseball Royals integrate more tan.
  11. Yeah and most of those look okay, despite the logos. For example, one ad patch I think looks okay is the SF Giant's Cruise patch because it looks like they thought about how it would look on the uniform.
  12. The Pitt Spitters logo reminds me of the Milwaukee Brewers bat and ball logo.
  13. I wish there was at least a rule that the ads have to be in a color scheme that works for the team. Royals shouldn't be wearing red.
