It appears MLS is in the beginning stages of killing off the "2, II, B" names in MLS Next Pro. I heard a few months ago that they were encouraging MLS clubs to move their Next Pro clubs outside of the MLS cities and stadiums. Effective immediately, LA Galaxy II has been rebranded to Ventura County FC and will move to Thousand Oaks playing at California Lutheran University. San Jose Earthquakes II have been rebranded to The Town FC and will move to Moraga at Saint Marys College
I think this works for some teams, but Crew2 are in a good location for them at HCS, so moving elsewhere doesn't make sense to me.

The yellow bit on the Brahmas helmet doesn't really fit. I think a yellow or dark grey lid would be the better way to go.
Houston with their red 2020 jerseys and the cog logo would probably work as an alternate jersey as well. Minus the side stripes of course.

I think a Canton team, funded by a Cleveland ownership would make sense. They could use McKinley's new athletic fieldhouse or even Massillon's to work out in and then play at Fawcett Stadium (Hall of Fame Stadium). A team that is truly Canton's would possibly draw well and there's enough other HOF Village events that you could tie in to it to fill-up the seats. They have to play in March though. February is still "football" weather but no one is sitting in those cold bleachers.
I think we would still see teams operating out of Arlington for at least one more year, unless they decided to set up two hubs with Birmingham as the other training hub.

I wouldn't expect Cleveland to get a team, but I think going to 12 teams next season is a good call if they can get the right cities involved. I'd expect that people will want the Stars, Breakers and Sea Dragons back but the first two need to have stadiums taken care of by this summer to make them viable. And for Seattle, I think they need Portland or San Jose/Sacramento/Oakland to give them a nearby rival. I don't think 16 is viable until there is an arrangement with the NFL to take on practice squad players like the WLAF/NFL Europe league did in both iterations.

Mexico looks horrible with the monochrome designs. The home should at least flip the G/W/R to R/W/G for that shirt. Those shorts are the worst thing I've seen since the adidas kits with bra straps on them.

Did Arizona State extend/renew with adidas? Last I knew the deal was coming to an end
No announcement that I can find online, either ending or extending it. I wonder if they are waiting until the end of the academic year to announce an extension, or a new supplier.

Not sure why, but Columbus and Houston switched home and away kits for the Champions Cup.

The UFL uniform changes are not surprising. I had only expected minor tweaks and that is what we got.
I'm still disappointed that with Memphis and Houston we have two teams with the same basic design. Maybe they could have used a design like the Stars or Sea Dragons just to improve on what was left from the teams getting cut.

Could this be the MUFC home kit for 2024-25?
Footy Headlines says this one is a fake. Personally, I'd prefer the black sections on the top would be red instead. I'm already afraid of how ugly their short options will be next year.
If these were the shorts it'd be a good look. I'm expecting them to have the same design as the adidas national team kits.

Yeah, the amount of weirdness at LSU this year with players sitting out and leaving the team tells me there is a lot of strange goings on in the background there.

South Carolina and LSU women attempted to reenact the Malice at the Palace. LSU players trying to intimidate the Gamecocks all game, and it finally blows up with a couple players getting knocked down and a brother of the instigator jumping on the court and wrapping up a Gamecocks player.

USL Championship and USL League One kicked off their seasons today. It appears Brooklyn FC, who are scheduled to begin play in 2025 at Maimonades Park (home of the Brooklyn Cyclones), will now begin play in the Championship instead of League One as originally stated.
San Antonio was a man up for 65 minutes, only to let Loudoun United tie the game in added time, 2-2. Both teams spent the entire game playing long ball, so I'm not sure if SAFC has improved or not. Not having Connor Maloney at the back needs to be addressed though.

The USFL returned with some really nice branding a few years ago. All nice updated nods to the original 80s looks. One helmet, one pair of pants, two jerseys. No monochrome, no leotard pants and socks combos. Nicely done all around. The XFL’s comeback arrived with some really terrible uniforms, to no one’s surprise. Ugly monochrome, gimmicky crap everywhere. I’m also not surprised this merger has made the former USFL teams go more in the direction of the nasty XFL styles. Disappointing but not surprising.
I’m thinking about a concept series where the designs go in the opposite direction… the XFL teams take on the old USFL feel.
Memphis looked bad last year and with the UA yoke they look just as bad. I like the Panthers pants better this year. DC not having white pants makes no sense to me. Rebranding them in green, black and white would help add more color to the league as well. As far as throwbacks, I don't know why the UFL didn't consider changing up the Renegades to something similar to their 2020 look. All they needed to do was give them black jerseys with blue sleeves. It'd improve them significantly. I know the dark grey jerseys are the Brahmas primary but I'd love to see them use the yellow jerseys as their primary jersey instead. Mainly because it's the better jersey design they have, and secondly because there's no other lighter color at home team.

well it looks like Denver is having a garage sale now. A 5 and 6 for Jeudy? If he gets 800 yards and helps the Browns advance in the playoffs he's an absolute steal.

This feels like the Steelers grabbed Wilson too early and now they're lucky Chicago had to send Fields away. This QB room is improved, but it will be dysfunctional as hell.
