Please don't ban this guy. I have questions. First - why now? Was there a pre-planned expiration date that you set for this account, and April 19 was "self destruct" date? Second - while I know you can't say what your next name will be, will that account also have a pre-determined shelf life? If so, would it also be April 19th? I don't know about anyone else, but I'd love for there to be a year-long guessing game leading up to April 19th, where we patiently wait to see who it is. Third - if your going to get yourself banned, why not go out in a blaze of glory? Say some seriously-offensive stuff, rip into someone, get hyper political, or post dick picks. Since I guess we're all having fun here, waiting for you to be banned, here's a true story. A long-ass time ago in college, I was drunk AF at like 4AM and had to go to the bathroom, which was located a the complete opposite wing of the dorm from where my room was. Whilst walking, wearing nothing but mesh shorts, I sneezed, and some poo came out and hit the floor - miraculously not getting on my shorts. Clean shot. Anyway, some girl who must have hooked up with a guy just happened to also be in the hallway (I didn't know until after the "incident"), and she ran away. A week or so later, some people I didn't know started calling me "poop pants", and I found out it was because she told them. But the thing was - no poop was in my pants! Shoulda called me "poopy floor" or something.

These stupid undershirts, man. People design a uniform, and nobody sees it the way it was intended because even at the unveilings, people are wearing stupid-ass dummy shirts that create (at best) a cummerbund effect, and at worst, a "fat kid in t-shirt at the pool" effect.

If you're saying Starter wasn't their manufacturer when the Cunningham jersey was made, that's true. Any of the licensees could make replicas for any team. And even the ones that were replicas of the on-field jersey (not fashion jerseys) varied by maker. For example, the Eagles kelly greens were always full mesh. But the Wilson replicas were a brighter green with dazzle-ish shoulders. Not even close to the Russell replicas (better, IMO.)

While I'm not in the XII, these are collectively the POTD. Well done. No side panels? Maybe it looks that way because they're transparent. This is not true. Russel was their brand from at least late '80s - 1996. Then they were Starter for a couple of years, then Puma, before Reebok took over everything.

I agree (though I wish they had no black uni at all). In fact, they sold so many black fashion jerseys in the early ‘90s that there’s a bit of a Mandela effect where some eagles fans of the right age will swear they occasionally wore black jerseys. A black jersey with black helmet with the throwback wings, and silver pants, would be miles bettter than their current black crap. of course they shouldn’t have a black jersey period, but if they must, a fauxback (fauxblack?) is the way to go.

Unrelated to these unveilings, this article is among the most insightful ever of the interaction between a team (Jets), league (NFL), and supplier (Nike.). It costs $5 (but you would get the other two as well) which is well worth it for legitimate journalism rather than reading nonsense by nobodies on Reddit. Everyone's entitled to opinions, but reading these things would go a long way to making those "informed opinions", rather than spouting off stuff like people did about certain things in 2021 when everyone was a medical expert. You will see the NFL's concept logos and "stories", which I think everyone here would love. *I have no affiliation with PL or UW, just think it's one of the best interviews i've ever read in 20 years (JFC... it's been 20!) of being in the uni-community, and even longer of following UW.

It's a lot of work for mods, especially once the threads blow up before it can be gotten ahead of, which happens when there's leaks before official release dates.

I know it's laborious, but could the Lions, Texans, and Broncos be split off the megathread now that they've been unveiled (or legitimately leaked)? I'd volunteer it if given temporary ability to do so.

There's no evidence that the NHL itself or Utah Hockey ownership filed for those. They could potentially be squatters, or, even if the league did, it could be just to thwart squatters and keep these (horrible) options open.

Is there any precedent for that in the modern era (team name change just because they didn't like it, not because of outside pressure)? I'm surprised and also not surprised that they don't have this figured out already. They couldn't really pay 10s to 00s of thousands to anyone to start working on an identity before they knew they had a team, because it could be a waste and possibly set people up for a big let down if it leaked. This is generally a once-in-a-franchise's-lifetime decision. It's probably better that they're taking the WFT strategy than potentially flubbing it up (granted, WFT completely flubbed it, but hopefully these guys are a little more competent.)

So the wording (according to this article) is that the Coyotes are transferring their players, coaches, and reserves to the new Utah franchise. Speaking of the Jets, the undeniably best UW piece ever - every little detail about the Jets last redesign - came out today. Everything about Woody Johnson asking how to know what’s “cool”, to the NFL giving Nike the brand, and them coming back with alternative suggestions only to be told to “know your role and shut your mouth”, to the design being THISCLOSE to being a green and white version of the Steelers batwing uniform. Lots of unused concept logos and unis in there, and more real-world examples of how the league, team, and Nike interact (including the league giving Nike their version of the story they want told, then Nike coming out with their version of the Nike Speak for it.)

I’m not sure if there’s any way to incentivize the IST, but what baffles me is that I just learned that the play-in games aren’t considered post-season, so those stats truly go nowhere. If you score 101 points in the game, do you now hold the NBA record? They’re basically considered exhibitions from a statistical perspective.

If you do. Google image search on Barry Sanders, I don’t think there’s a single image that shows what most people would call Northwestern stripes. In some cases the sleeves are cut, but their “NW” stripes have outlines on every stripe, similar to the Steelers. I would not call their classic look a NW-striped jersey.

It's not over till the BoG votes. We've waited too long to start celebrating prematurely only to have our hearts ripped out. Ironically, more non fans will have their hearts ripped out if they stay than their actual fans will if they leave.
