Something I just noticed about is the colors for Washington via Pantone. From what it looks like, they changed the shade of the burgundy to more of a maroon color.

Was this announced at any point during the unveiling process because I must've missed it. I also haven't seen the new and old uniforms side-by-side, so I don't know how different they are to one another.

According to @TruColor's website, it did not change. I would trust his information.

The Avs are a very weird case for me this year: I think I got so used to them in the black helmets and shorts that blue looks terribly weird to me, even though I’ll fully admit the black was, in theory, the more mismatched color.

    This.

I guess it comes down to this: they waited far too long to get rid of the black and should’ve made that change years ago (that, or redesigned the uniforms altogether this go-around). The black got to be too “normal” over the course of time and now my brain can’t calibrate when I see the blue helmets and shorts.

    And this.

Add Florida Panthers to the long list of unnecessary red and blue teams. I forgot about them.

The red and blue is fine. What they need to do is get rid of that Wild Kratts logo and go back to the leaping panther.

Tweak the logo by brightening it up (silver was a better idea in theory than reality) and change out the team name wordmark around it

    Just go crazy with it.
