BBTV
I guess the fact that we're lineage-jacking this might indicate that the NHL hasn't done anything supider-than-normal for a while. Who'd have thought we'd go a week without something turning into a total dumpster fire? Well, this particular guy - though born in Cairo, Georgia - moved to Pasadena, California before he turned 2 years old. He grew up in the city, participating in baseball, basketball, football, track, and tennis at John Muir Technical High School, and went on to represent both Pasadena Junior College and UCLA in the first four sports. Long before he broke Major League Baseball's modern era color barrier with the Dodgers, Jackie Robinson was a SoCal sports star.

The Utah Jazz could have bought approximately 11 Atlanta Thrasherses for what it cost to buy the Coyotes and end this story. Imagine what you could do with 11 of that franchise. You could have a playoff where 11 of 16 teams are out in the first round. 1 2 Quote ♫ oh yeah, board goes on, long after the thrill of postin' is gone ♫

Walter Johnson's only career World Series win is a special story worth celebrating. The Twins today are celebrating the 100th anniversary of the Senators’ 1924 World Series title. The players have commemorative patches on their jerseys. They just had Walter Johnson’s grandson in the booth to talk about it. It was really great.

The_Admiral
It was more a shot at the participation-trophy-dynasty Winnipeg Jets. Cheveldayoff just needs another year to put his plan in place.
