Sykotyk
There's 1,115,951 kids playing HS Football. There's 92,052 playing college football. There's 1,696 NFL roster spots. The fact even two of these guys made the cut to the training camp 90man roster is impressive. It's not easy to make it in the NFL. They don't need to 'train' kids who missed out on the draft of UDFA initial wave of signings to have productive players. The NCAA grooms them quite well with little expense to the NFL. People aren't going to show up to watch the "Newark Giants" take on the "Manchester Patriots" in some developmental league. But 100,000+ will show up to an Ohio State game against Akron. dfwabel
Less than 500, lots less. http://napavalleyregister.com/sports/college-and-pro/spring-league-game-at-napa-memorial-stadium-keeps-football-dreams/article_cbc5e5e0-1c16-5384-8d3d-802552e23f9f.html Quote There were about 200 tickets that were sold before the game and a smattering more thereafter. While that might appear to be a sparse crowd for Memorial Stadium, which can house about 10,000 people, Dixon added that the crowd size exceeded his expectations based on the aforementioned game in Sulphur Springs, West Virginia. “It was a great crowd that was bigger than we expected,” Dixon said. “We had about 20 people at the last one in West Virginia. Football is the best sport in the world.”
