BaltimoreFan
I was hoping to get some old baseball player's jerseys without spending a ton of money on a throwback. I was just curious how far some of the current jersey go back. The two I'm concerned with now are Detriot and Boston.

slapshot
The Red Sox home uniforms have been the same since 1979. The road versions have been the same since 1990. Back-to-Back Fatal Forty Champion 2015 & 2016
tmorss9
Tigers home has been virtually untouched since the '50's, except the 1960 script experiment. Road jersey is basically a modernized version of the ones from about 1952. "Hats for bats. Keep bats warm. Gracias"
scooter13
The Tigers road jersey is relatively new. They have changed half a dozen times at least since the 60's. The home jersey I think has been the same from as far back as the 40's, if not farther.(Guess I am a slower typer ) Detroit Dragons - 2010 ULL Gait Cup ChampionsDetroit Cougars - 2010 and 2011 WAFA Wills Cup Champions

The 1986 road jersey isn't the same than the 2004 road jersey because of its lettering. It's great to be young and a Giant! - Larry Doyle

sj32
The Tigers home last changed in 1972 when they went from flannel to polyester double-knit. The general design (Old English "D" on left front with navy piping around the neck and down the front) dates back to 1934. The current road was introduced in 1998. They put the "Detroit" script back on the roads in 1994, but those had navy, orange and white striping down the sleeves similar to the Expos jerseys of the late '70s and 1980s. From 1995-97, the "Detroit" script was on a plain, grey jersey. In 1998, they introduced the current jersey which includes navy piping around the neck and down the front. tmorss9
what player or era are you looking to replicate? I know in Boston and Detroit, it is pretty common to use players and numbers from into the '50's on a current jersey, and it actually looks ok. "Hats for bats. Keep bats warm.
