Soccer Unis?

Now, I'll start by saying that I am not a huge soccer fan, but usually enjoy the diversity on colours and patterns of the shirts.

I was surpirsed when I saw the highlights from the following game:

Am I the only one to think the two teams don't contrast enough.

Bear in mind the overview camera with the far angle doesn't give the crispness of this picture on TV.

black and blue vs. purple. yeah, i'd say that's not enough contrast. sort of a darker version of Wisconsin red vs Illinois orange.

It may have been an issue of the away team bringing the wrong kit. If it was a neutral site they both probably didn't have a second kit for the match and had to play as is. It happens every now and then in rec leagues but then, it's harder to afford 2 or 3 different kits.

This is not a rec league, it's the UEFA Cup...

I may need to enlist the assistance of a couple of friends who are soccer fans, but I know the match was played in Vieena, and FK Austria Wien is obviously Austrian, which disqualifies the neutral site theory... And they do have a white uniform

I bet most European Soccer fans can't understand OUR design concepts for baseball and hockey...

Much in the same way we never understand their soccer unis.

"I better go take a long walk off a short pier or something."

Some people on this bolard have told me to do just that.

My "Ron Mexico" alias is "Jon Tobago".
