andrewharrington
In hopes of getting this jorb, I revised he original logo a bit and created this male/female logo and word package to send to the marketing committee. Basically, one lion has a pointed "King's Crown," and the other has a round "Queen's Crown." C/C is welcome.
Mings
There ya go bud! Put some pupils in those eyes and you are good as gold! You fixed everything man and it works very well.
rtrich11
That's great. Good movement, good technique. Good! Real good!My only issue is the eyes. I also like the demon white eyes for rabid animals, but here, I think the lions glance is uncertain. Even if they are small or stylized, try one on your own with pupils. Step away for a few minutes, come back, and see if that gives the eyes even more power.
udonkey
nice update...I think that if you're going to go to the effort of making gender based logos, that you should adjust the lion (lioness?) to make it more feminine as well. The female lion does not have the mane that the male does.male:http://www.ultimateafrica.com/Zambezi%20Wi...0lion%20(2).jpgfemale:http://peace.saumag.edu/faculty/kardas/Ima...male%20lion.jpgthinking this way, you might need to reconsider whether it is cost efficient for the school to have a seperate set of logos. AAO
looks good to me. i guess you can ignore the inaccuracy in genders and go along with the queen and king crowns to distinguish genders, but i dont think its that big of a deal. great job. andrewharrington
Man, that is total common sense too. Back to Zoology 101. I completely overlooked that.
gordie_delini
im not a huge fan of the script you've used...it seems too plain for such a kickass logo. maybe a serifed font or something like that. if you like, i have several hundred fonts on my comp that i could send you samples of...just a thought tho
andrewharrington
It's a custom script. It has tiny serifs on the left sides of letters. The bigger serifs really took away from the beveling, which was necessary to bring the dark gold into the entire scheme.
rbripley
What a terrific job! It's so clean, to the point and effective. Personally, I like the subtlety of the crowns suggesting the different genders and the font you've created. While it seems that this might be one of those elements over which the masses might be split, you're design pulls it off.Like others, I wouldn't mind seeing some fierce pupils on this royal animal - just for comparison's sake! I'd be jazzed if I were on the receiving end of this concept - Congrats!
