FiddySicks
The same could be said for Oregon - some of the things they've done are unspeakably hideous. Keep in mind that Oregon is Phil Knight's alma mater, so they get extra attention as far as designs and ideas, some good, some bad. Not any more. Phil Knight has severed ties to the university and stopped providing all funding. Something about some university sponsored group that protested Nike's sweatshops or something like that. Maybee Moore's movie, The Big One, had more of an affect on Knight than we all thought. . You probably wont get that unless you saw The Big One On 11/19/2012 at 7:23 PM, oldschoolvikings said: She’s still half convinced “Chris Creamer” is a porn site.) I think I am starting to like them. Plus the jerseys will actually match the helmet this season.
nugent4president
Let's say this about Nike, and uniforms in general...there are three levels of uniforms in college football. There are teams like Penn State and Alabama who will never change. There are teams that have nice updates, but the same classic look, like Gerogia, Michigan, Notre Dame & BYU in recent years, etc. Then we have teams such as a Utah, or a Boise State, or Oregon. They are trying to create a look that allows them to keep up with recruits and medai attention. If Oregon players want to be the Fighting Hi-liters, guess what? That's a great recruting tool. This new Miami template...Utah palyers probably saw it on tv, thought "Man, that looks hot. I wish we could have that," and now they do. It may be ugly, but Nike isn't destroying college football. They are creating new ways for universities to bring in players. Whether that is right or not is a whole separate issue.
