Why does everyone think adding an extra best of five round (and stretching the current first round to seven games) would stretch the post-season out to exhaustable levels when you're looking at a whopping TEN extra days max. And if it is reduced to 148 games instead of 162, that's a good two weeks plus to make up for those ten days.

I know you've got the inclusivity thing going, and I like it, but not entirely.

What are your feelings on taking the division series and making it a 5-and-2 series?

Would it be too complicated to make it 5-and-2 only for (that is, against) the wild-card team?

Yes, because the team that would have the home-field advantage against the wild may not necessarily be the best of the three division winners.

I like the current system. I would one make afew changes.

1) Seeding done by record

2) 154 game schedule

As for an earlier post. How could people lose interest in the baseball games when the NFL starts? Most of the playoff games are played during the week and on Saturdays.

And lack of upsets? Baseball is the easiest sport to upset someone.

true, I forgot about that oddball "you can't play a team in your own division rule" that I don't totally understand why it's there....

Only thing that can possibly go make things go haywire is if 3 teams tie for first, and are 3-3 against the two other teams in the tie. I can't find anything on how MLB would handle a 3-way tie from which only one team could emerge.
