Chiefs Turtlenecks

Every year, the Chiefs players are photographed wearing white turtlenecks. Does anyone know why they do this? As you can see from the pictures below, other teams do not take part in this practice. Has anyone besides me ever noticed this before?

like it, there is nothing wrong with it. Its Lamar Hunt's doing tradition as well

I agree - I like it. I see them in publicity photos all the time, but that something my mind just registared. Good Eyes!!

At the risk of being called something bad, I have to ask whether those are turtlenecks or mock turtlenecks.
