NO/OKC Hornets Concept

So, as you all know, I'm a Hornets fan(who, by the way, is astonished at their victory over the Spurs). I also love football, so I tried to do(what I think is a mostly unique) concept of putting them together. I made the Hornets a new primary logo since the old one wouldn't work in football, and have both the "H" and the "OKC" as secondary logos. The alternate uniform(with alt helmet) is a nod to the Hornets temp(new?) home. Any C&C, I'd love it - I kinda like how it turned out, but I think it's got a ways to go.

I like the home unis, the color combination looks good. I think the teal numbers look good, that might be ok from a visability standpoint since they're outlined in yellow. But the nameplate letters should be white, those are likely not to be visible in teal.

The white unis I think needs more yellow in it, maybe on the shoulder striping, otherwise they look just purple and teal from the front and back. I don't like the teal socks, they're too strong and stand out too much for a uniform that doesn't have all that much teal in it... how about just white with stripes?

The teal unis I don't care for much. Just from a color combination standpoint.

gross. I'm sorry, that :censored:in sucks, no offense. I have an opinion too

please respond with more than two sentances.

If you like a concept, say why. What is it that you like about it? Why do you like it? Why does it catch your eye? What can they do to make this concept better?

If you don't like that concept, the same request is made. What needs to change, what can they do to improve.

<_< Way to be constructive, that'll really help him improve the concept...

I do like the idea, but some changes would make this a lot better. I think you should switch the home and alternate jerseys (make the teal the home set). As mentioned earlier, making the numbers white would help out a lot. Also, the away set needs more gold. Finally, something needs to be done with the helmet...maybe make it white or gold? Good work though, just needs some tweakin'

Unlike the new guy that decided to plop all over this concept without giving anything constructive in those epic 2 sentences, I'll try and be a bit more wordy as to why I'm not that thrilled with some aspects of this.

WHAT I LIKE

--The shoulder stripes...the touch of making them look like actual hornet wings was a pretty neat idea.

--Emphasizing the purple in the logo concept on the unis and reducing the teal.

--The use of the side stripe on the home and road jerseys...kinda ties into what they wear on the court.

WHAT I DON'T LIKE

--The alt set. The teal jersey with the gold pants just doesn't work for some reason. Also, it cut out what I thought was the strongest part of this concept, the hornet wing shoulder stripes.

--Lack of gold on the road jersey...just seems kinda "blah" with it just being purple & teal. Maybe a little gold on the wings wouldn't be that bad of an idea.

--Teal lettering on the home jersey. It's really tough to see, even with a gold outline. Gold or white lettering would have worked better, IMO.

Pretty much everything else is OK with me for the most part.

Like you said, it's got a ways to go...but it's a pretty decent start.

I like the road uniforms a lot. The Home uni's could really use some white outline or something on the numbers/name to make it brighter or clearer.

The alts are a completely different animal. White outline on the numbers (Like with the home) and white pants and you may have something. Maybe.....

Okay, here's version two of this bad boy, with tons of changes.

General:

- Completed the shoes for all jerseys.

- Removed the teal alternate helmet.

- Recolored the OKC alt logo.

- Changed the socks striping.

- Added a yellow drop shadow for the numbers on each jersey.

- Added the Hornets wordmark under the color on all three jerseys.

Home:

- Changed the "stinger" from yellow w/ green detail to green w/ yellow detail.

- Changed the numbers from green w/ yellow outline to white w/ green outline.

- Changed the back name plate to white.

- Changed the sox striping to match the pant striping.

Away:

- Changed the "stinger" from purple w/ green deital to purple w/ yellow detail and added a thin green outline.

- Changed the back name plate to purple.

- Changed the sox striping to match the pants striping.

Alternate:

- Changed the pants from yellow to white.

- Added new purple-yellow-purple striping to the jersey and pants.

- Added the stingers, purple w/ yellow detail.

- Changed the numbers to white w/ purple outline.

- Changed the back name plate to white.

- Changed the sox striping toi match the new pant striping.

C&C as always, thanks for all the feedback on Version 1!
