Shumway
I was just curious of what kind of gloves you guys use. I had a pair of Eastons(Ultralite Pro) that I liked, but I they basically only lasted a year. There's literally no palm area(inlcuding finger areas). I had a pair of the CCM 452 Radioactive's before those, and the material was horrible. After a year of use, I could hardly open my hands up in them. They basically couldnt' be broken in. After those two mishaps, I got a pair of Mission L3's a few weeks ago. I'm really liking the feel of them. They have a reinforced palm , so hopefully they won't fall apart within a year. Not to mention, they're blue, to go along with my awesome blue visor.
twi
I use Bauer Vapor VI gloves. I think they're great, short break in time, good protection. Before that, Nike Q2's which were absolutly great. Blue visor? Cool, I have the Ovechkin mirrored one.
pollux
I've had my Eagle X50 gloves since 1999. The palm is partially ripped, but I can still hold my gloves without any problem. These are the best gloves I've had since I started playing hockey. Real good protection, lightweight and they don't restrain wrist movement, which is really important for me. And no need to break them in.I wanted to change this year, but I didn't find any glove that matched the X50, so I'll wait and save more cash to buy a new Eagle pair next year. Before that I had Jofa gloves, and the palm didn't last a year. And before I had Easton, which were very comfortable with the gel-thing.Blue and mirrored visors??? I have to smack you boys! Clear is the way to go
Shumway
Blue and mirrored visors??? I have to smack you boys! Clear is the way to go Y'gotta look pretty out there. I have all blue equipment basically, so the blue visor was a must. Plus, I look like a lego man with my black helmet with blue visor.I thought about getting Eagle gloves, but I'm financially impaired, considering they're at least $100 a piece. Most of the time I play outdoors too, so they would get ruined. As for my other equip:Helmet: Bauer HH5000Shoulders: Easton Ultralite/CCM 1052s....my CCMs are missing a rib pad thoughElbows: If I wear them, I have a pair of JofasShinnys: ummm..Bauer 5000?Ice Skates: CCM Externos...they're one of the lower models, not like the E60's or whateverInline Skates: CCM Externo bandits for outdoor, and Mission Helium 5000 for inline. They're ugly, but sweet. Here's a pic of the blue visor from my high school Alumni Game(I had 4 goals, in case you were wondering...take that, coach, for putting me on JV my senior year )

Shumway
...take that, coach, for putting me on JV my senior year )I thought that wasnt allowed in high school. I remember my Junior year of football we ahd two players who were just horrible on varsity because it was against the rules to have seniors on JV I only got it this past summer. I graduated high school in '04. In high school, we hadda wear the face cages, which I hated. Edit: I thought you meant the visor. In the league I played in, seniors could play JV, but they could not play both. Once I got moved up to varsity, I wasn't allowed to play JV anymore. It sucked for a senior year, but oh well, I've improved greatly since then. I only started ice hockey as a junior, so you can imagine that I wasn't that great(and still am not). I'm a roller hockey guy now.
eww7633
I rocked the original Nike gloves (don't even know what they were called, but I bought them in '96) until last week when I picked up a pair of Bauer Vapor XX's. The Nikes had absolutely NO palms left through I don't even know how many seasons of ice and roller hockey. The Bauers are great though.
