yankeeman161
Here's something interesting, former Boston Red Sox (boo!) star Mike Greenwell, who finished 2nd in American League MVP voting to Jose Canseco in 1988 will go from the diamond to the racetrack as he will race in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series AKA The Staple of Speed Channel. Greenwell will debut at the Mansfield Motorsports Speedway race on May 27 replacing Bobby Hamiliton, Jr who is subbing for his father who was diagnosed with cancer a few months ago. Here's where to see when you can see the former Sox slugger on the race track:FOX Sports - NASCAR - Report: Former Red Sox player to make truck debut THE TOUGHEST S.O.B. Cujo
Personally, I think Greenwell may have been one of the players that dabbbled in steroids but isn't frewuently talked about. I honestly don't believe Mike Greenwell was on the juice (or at least he wasn't in 1988) because Greenwell has publicly called out Canseco, saying Jose should give up his '88 MVP award and give it to him because he played clean while Jose was roiding up ... something to that extent. I don't think someone's going to call out another player like that if they've been on steroids too.
NJTank
Nah Greenwell was not a steroids guy his career started to go down the hill as the the juice really became prevelent. www.sportsecyclopedia.com For the best in sports history go to the Sports E-Cyclopedia at http://www.sportsecyclopedia.com
