Fred T. Jane
The World Cup's got me in a mood for footy, so I'm doing NHL teams soccer style. I'll say first off that I have no clue what's verboten or not in jerseys, as all I see are MLS and World Cup squads, so if I go off the beaten path, it's not on purpose. The text on jerseys are from ericgaffe, and are on their jerseys already. I suppose soccer fonts would look better, but who cares. I'm doing them in a combination of Photoshop and Illustrator (I don't know how to copy stripes in Illustrator...yet. ) C&C, of course.Up first are Anaheim, Atlanta, and BostonAnaheim:(I created a template of the Nike Style used by Brazil, Slovakia, and several others in Illustrator)Atlanta:Boston (The part on the bottom is a close-up of the top of the team crest. Stars for Stanley Cups. Not sure what to do when I get to Montreal. ):More to come (in due time). [Croatia National Team Manager Slavan] Bilic then went on to explain how Croatia's success can partially be put down to his progressive man-management techniques. "Sometimes I lie in the bed with my players. I go to the room of Vedran Corluka and Luka Modric when I see they have a problem and I lie in bed with them and we talk for 10 minutes." Maybe Capello could try getting through to his players this way too? Although how far he'd get with Joe Cole jumping up and down on the mattress and Rooney demanding to be read his favourite page from The Very Hungry Caterpillar is open to question. --The Guardian's Fiver, 08 September 2008 Attention: In order to obtain maximum enjoyment from your stay at the CCSLC, the reader is advised that the above post may contain large amounts of sarcasm, dry humour, or statements which should not be taken in any true sort of seriousness. Moser316
Instead of putting a number on the front, you ever thought about putting a sponsor (a la the Premier League)? That minor gripe aside, this project looks like it's off to a good start.
burgess
I like the look of this! I also like the idea of one ( I repeat, ONE ) sponsor logo. I submit that the sponsor should be the holder of the venue where the team plays. For example: FC Buffalo Sabres would have HSBC Bank as their sponsor. Squeaks4
I clicked this link expecting to see another simple crossover but I was pleasantly surprised. Good job on not just taking the easy and predictable routs. I would love to see the Yotes.
VitaminD
Boston (The part on the bottom is a close-up of the top of the team crest. Stars for Stanley Cups. Not sure what to do when I get to Montreal. ): Quick thoughts:ANAHEIM: I'd love it more if it were eggplant/jade instead of purple/aqua.ATLANTA: Some dark colors would sharpen this up a lot - white/gold/sky blue all comes off as very light. Navy piping/outlining would work wonders here.BOSTON: Best one of the 3.As far as Stanley Cup stars, how about a white star (or silver) for every 1 Cup won, and then do like the Italian Serie A does - a gold star for every 10 titles. (Juventus has 2 gold stars, representing 20 of its 29 titles. One more title, get a 3rd gold star.) "Start spreading the news... They're leavin' today... Won't get to be a part of it... In old New York..."In order for the Mets' run of 12 losses in 17 games to mean something, the Phillies still had to win 13 of 17.
