NJTank
The Heisman Trophy aint what it used to be more then half the players who win it go to the NFL and have a disappointing career. www.sportsecyclopedia.com For the best in sports history go to the Sports E-Cyclopedia at http://www.sportsecyclopedia.com
yh
The Heisman Trophy aint what it used to be more then half the players who win it go to the NFL and have a disappointing career. That's why it's an award for the best collegiate football player and not the best pro prospect. Even in my lifetime there have been more Heisman-NFL busts than successes - Johnny Rogers, Pat Sullivan, Steve Owens, Archie Griffin, John Cappeletti, etc. etc. And look, it took nearly 10 years for Jim Plunkett to achieve any NFL greatness and even longer for Doug Flutie. The Heisman is to recognize the best college football player and nothing more.
