Niedermayer patch

While I was at the Devils game tonight (terrible game), I noticed the acting captain (stevens had the flu) Scott Niedermayer had a patch on his left shoulder, but no one else on the team had one.

What was it? Does anyone have a good pic of it? Was it something for Ken Daneyko night?

no..for one week the caption of every team will be wearing a patch for cancer. these jerseys will then be signed, and auctioned at the NHL Auction Online website.

For one game ( for the most part), each team's captain will wear the Hockey Fights Cancer patch. It looks like Colorado and New Jersey will be twice.

Speaking of busy jerseys, I was watching Cam Neely night at the Bruins game tonight. They showed a montage of Neely in his playing days, and one shot was from his rookie season in Vancouver, 1985 I think. Neely was wearing the home V jersey (I think it was white, although nhluniforms.com lists the home jersey as gold), and on the sleeve, nestled in more "v" striping, was a patch with initials (owner maybe?), Canucks logo patch, and number. 3 patches in between busy striping on a sleeve.
