jkrdevil
While I was at the Devils game tonight (terrible game), I noticed the acting captain (stevens had the flu) Scott Niedermayer had a patch on his left shoulder, but no one else on the team had one. What was it? Does anyone have a good pic of it? Was it something for Ken Daneyko night?

spyboy1
For one game ( for the most part), each team's captain will wear the Hockey Fights Cancer patch. It looks like Colorado and New Jersey will be twice. Here's a link to the story about the Hockey Fights Cancer program, with the schedule of when each team will be participating.http://www.nhl.com/onthefly/news/2003/12/196298.htmlHere's a picture of the patch;http://penguinjersey.com/NewFile....er.htmlHere's a photo of Brad Bombardir from the Wild wearing the Hockey Fights Cancer patch under the 2004 All-Star game patch.http://www.wildinsider.com/InsiderMoviePreviewFile/8849.jpgJeffB Click here to read Third String Goalie - The Hockey Jersey of the Day Blog Click here to see my hockey and baseball jersey collection online ?You don?t like to see 20 kids punching 20 other kids. slapshot
Speaking of busy jerseys, I was watching Cam Neely night at the Bruins game tonight. They showed a montage of Neely in his playing days, and one shot was from his rookie season in Vancouver, 1985 I think. Neely was wearing the home V jersey (I think it was white, although nhluniforms.com lists the home jersey as gold), and on the sleeve, nestled in more "v" striping, was a patch with initials (owner maybe?), Canucks logo patch, and number. 3 patches in between busy striping on a sleeve. Here is a picture of the Vancouver uniforms from 1984-85http://www.nhluniforms.com/1980s/Images/Canucks3a.gif Back-to-Back Fatal Forty Champion 2015 & 2016
