Let us not forget that the Republican party harbors two of the most bigoted and conservative Christians in the country, Jerry Falwell and Pat Robertson. The conservative Christian agenda has been historically linked to the Republican party. This party has long been trying to bring make their religious beliefs law, such as banning abortion, basically banning homosexuality, forcing God into government buildings, etc. The bottom line seems to be to cast out those who do not follow their beliefs, i.e. everyone but White Christians (obviously no where near as extreme as the Ku Klux Klan, but you see where the roots came from). When I think conservative, I think controlled and supressed.

Isn't liberal supposed to mean a lot more is allowed and tolerated? If so, how can Democratic be the party that is more bigoted? The Republicans have been the party synonymous with keeping the rich richer (remember the Reagan administration?). Who were the rich then? Old White Men.

I have a problem with this. Pat Roberstson and Jerry Falwell do NOT represent the Republican party in any way shape or form. They can say they do, and they can be ridiculously stupid in doing so (Robertson said God told him Bush was going to win... sigh), but no one listens to them.

Abortion should be outlawed, except in the most extreme cases, and trust me, i'm faaaaar from being a religious man. And i have seen no "forcing" of God into anywhere. Republicans seem to have gotten this reputation as good ol' boys who hate blacks jews and anyone else who isin't an old white guy, thanks to our friend the liberal media. And the term Liberal would make one think that more would be allowed, and more freedoms for the people, but they want the exact opposite. They want control. They want control over you and what you say, think, and do. THey want the government in your life and telling you how to live it. They've already banned smoking everywhere but in your home, but there are people now trying to ban it there. Now there are so-called "liberals" who want to ban fast food and other so called non-healthy foods, to "protect" people from becoming fat and obese. Good natured as it may be, if i want a fu*king large bacon cheeseburger with salty french fries and a uberlarge milkshake, and smoke while i'm doing it, reading a porn mag and listen to death metal while doing it, i should be FREE to.

Freedom, with their exception. That's the creed of today's liberal. Conservative represent more freedom for everyone, this racist party you speak of sounds like the Democratic party of the pre-1950's era, but no party like that could survive now-a-days. The democratic party has fooled itself into think it's ideas and beliefs are still relevant, and they've used the liberal media (NBC, CBS, ABC, CNN, The New York Times, Washington Post, LA Times, we all know them) to get that message across while trying to sabatoge the republican party. And even with all that, even with their Hollywood friends being the voice for the ignorant and the easily corruptable. people still aren't fooled by them. THe democrats in a position of asking people who they belive, the Democrats, or their own eyes. Now there are plenty of stupid people out there that are taken in by the blantent lies being thrown about by the democratic candidates this year. If there wasn't stupid people, how do you think Disney would still get business, but more and more people are opening their eyes, and seeing that the Democrats have no real plan, no agenda other than to seize power and control. The economy has ben doing great (and trust me, if not for the plans implimented by Bush to stop the bleeding when Clinton just let the markets fall and fall and fall, we would be in a full-fledged 1930's depression. Don't believe me, look at the numbers) and yet the media reports doom and gloom, it's unreal. It makes you scrath your head, as these people are reporting falsehoods as actual news, and people will believe it without thinking twice, because they are trined to believe everything the news tells them, and not look and investigate themselves.

I'm the last person that should be a conservative. I'm 23, i'm a youngin who should be out fighting for marijuana rights and trying to have sex with as many hippie chicks as i can (and no one said i ain't trying) , but when you just see the truth, and you see the lies, you can't fool yourself anymore, you can't be for a cause, for a party that just isn't right, isn't fair, and that lies constantly, and think it's just to lie for their cause. Liberals have gotten people so angry with lies, that they have basically called for violence at the Republican National Convention this year in NYC. THey want to disrupt as much as they can, using any means nessecary, using any lies nessecary, to get the job done. It makes me sick.

The Democratic party is the party of lies and deception.

Frankly, I wish MLK Day didn't exist at all.

Let's not forget that the reason why we have this holiday is because he was ASSASINATED at the very young age of 39.  In this day and age, 75 is not such a difficult age to attain and I would venture to guess that were it not for James Earl Ray's actions two days after I was born, there's a chance MLK would still be with us today, and perhaps in a vastly different and better society.

It is frankly ludicrous to suggest that the media has a liberal bias. No really it is! it is just an easy line for the likes of Limbaugh to deliver that has no basis in fact. People think the media has a liberal bias because they have been told it does often enough.

Where was the 'liberal' oress for instance when the press was giving Gore a hard time for trying to get legally cast votes counted 3 years ago, or why haven't they picked up more on the stories about black people being illegally denied the opportunity to cast a vote at all in Florida. They coul have taken all credibiliy away from Bush if they wanted to but know, they didn't.

THey gave Gore a free pass and were the ones calling Bush a theif, and don't say they weren't I WAS THERE I watched coverage until 5am that night, and watched and read everything about it in the weeks that followed. It is absolutly impossable to say the media doesn't skew left in this country. The thing is, most of the liberals on the radical left see anything that is only slightly left or as moderate, as conservative and right wing. THe Democratic party has been hijacked by these nutjobs, and people are taking their word as the word of the tru democrat, and all it's doing is driving the true democrat over to the right more and more.

Al Gore was a wretched campaigner in 2000, he was awful in the debates.

The Media saying that is like a sports fan syaing why their favoite team lost.

The Liberal Media is changing, thanks to people like Rush LImbaugh, and Foix News Channel.

But read books like Bias by Bernie Goldberg, he lists several examples.

Check out teh NY Times that paer leans so far to teh left if you put it on a scale it would out weigh a sherman tank.
