Brian in Boston
... anything is better than that poor excuse of the MAHLYet, just when you would have thought that you'd heard the last of the MAHL, the league has granted an expansion franchise to Dyer, Indiana (near Gary). The team has been dubbed the South Shore Shooters.Additionally, MAHL President Andrew Haines has announced that the league plans to expand to between 8 and 12 teams in time for the 2008-2009 season. A franchise in Michigan will reportedly be unveiled soon. Ambitious plans for a league that had to curtail its inaugural season.
