DrJack
I want to start off by saying that I just stumbled upon this site the other day not knowing that there was even close to the demand to warrant a "logo design forum" on the internet, but this site is awesome! I stayed up for hours flipping through the pages and looking at some truly amazing work. I'm still shocked to find out that I'm not the only one who thinks this stuff is way cool. Mad props to all y'all. Now, this is a logo concept I came up with about a week ago for my fantasy basketball team. I am, or WAS, the LA Clippers before I thought it would be smart to get out from behind the Lakers shadow, pack my bags, and relocate to Vancouver, BC. My team is now the Vancouver Clippers and with a new location comes the need for a new identity. This is the first logo I've ever designed, and the first set of jerseys, but I'm pretty pleased with how they turned out would love some C+C.Yes, that T-Mac on the Clippers, he's on my fantasy team. DrJack
Here are the jerseys larger, so you can see them. Not a lot of detail, but its still nice to be able to read the words.

Not a lot of detail, but its still nice to be able to read the words.I like the jerseys, but would think about lightening one of the colors to make the concept pop better overall. I actually really like the simplicity of the wave on the shorts and glad that you didn't try to recreate it anywhere on the top. On the logos I would think about simplifying the anchor a little and making it more bold of a logo and less like a drawing...less strokes and paths with more definition in them. Great start though and welcome to the forums. I learned a lot from just looking at other posted concepts and then tracing them in Inkscape and just now am getting a good feel for developing my own concepts. Mac the Knife
Welcome!I have to agree with the above post - while the design is functionally sound, it's also too busy. Also the seafoam-like green doesn't seem to mesh well with the maple red.
FiddySicks
Ok, first off, the primary is busy to the point of ridiculousness, but it definitely shows that you've got something good going here. The secondary is just barely missing the target for me. I dunno what it is, the anchor and maple leaf is a fantastic idea, but the VC behind it kinda clutters it up. But on the same note, taking the VC away would make it too bare. Maybe if you added a stem to the leaf or used a less generic font it'd help it a lot. Unlike Mac, I think the color combo is fantastic. It represents Canada as well as shipping perfectly. The Vancouver script looks a bit flat IMO, it just doesn't pop. Maybe if you bowed it a bit (Yeah, I guess that'd be the proper term) on the top and bottom, sort of like the Sacramento Kings wordmark in their primary logo seen here And on a final note, the wave on the shorts is a brilliant idea. with a bit of tuning, this could be a really promising concept. worcat
i love the fact that you worked the maple leaf behind the anchor. however, i do agree that your primary is way too busy. instead, i would suggest making the anchor more 'v' shaped (vancouver) and turn the top of the anchor into a 'c' instead of the ring. hidden images are huge in my book, i absolutely love this concept.welcome to the board. nwtrailtrekker
that primary logo is just too cluttered, and im not a huge fan of the colors. i think if you twisted up the current clippers look, you could be on to something.but you're not quite there.
