-kj
I know there's no love around here for the USL, even amongst those of us that are soccer fans, but there are a few of us who pay attention to the USL. I'm a crazed Minnesota Thunder supporter, so I care and that's all that matters. The playoffs start on Friday night. Regular-season champs Puerto Rico get a bye to the semis. -kj
Well, the Thunder are out of the playoffs. Friday they lost 2-0 in Vancouver, having had a late goal (wrongly) disallowed for offsides. Tonight they returned home, gave up an early goal, and had to chase the entire time. They ended up winning the game 4-3, scoring two goals after going down to ten men due to a red card, but lost 5-4 on aggregate.Other scores:Friday - Seattle 2-1 MontrealSunday - Montreal 3-1 SeattleMontreal wins 4-3Friday - Rochester 2-0 CharlestonSunday - Charleston 1-0 RochesterRochester wins 2-1Semifinals:(1) Puerto Rico v (4) RochesterSeason series: Puerto Rico, 2-0-1(2) Vancouver v (3) MontrealSeason series: Vancouver, 2-0-1 Buy some t-shirts and stuff at KJ Shop!
