AHL Chicago Wolves 3rd Jersey

The Wolves are the AHL affiliate of the Atlanta Thrashers.

The Thrashers' home jersey follows the same pattern (long "ATLANTA" on left sleeve, regular patch and number on right sleeve). AHL teams do this all the time (glad my Admirals are staying unique, though!)

It's definitely the "Edge-iest" thing the Wolves have worn. Gotta say it's a downgrade from the previous Saturday night alts, though. I'm not against the text running down the sleeve Atlanta-style (it's been done previously on their Season Ticket Holder jerseys), but the text seems to ride too high when worn on the ice, with the W and the O up on the shoulder.

Still looked better than the Ads, though, who let their look get butchered in the Edge transition. And good Lord, those socks.

For all the bird de lis haters I think the bird de lis isnt supposed to be a pelican and a fleur de lis I think its just a fleur de lis with a pelicans head. Thats what it looks like to me. Also the flair around the tip of the beak is just flair that fleur de lis have sometimes source I am from NOLA.

Well now I know the Wolves are affiliated to the Thrashers.

It's a nice look. Fortunately for them, there's a stripe running down both sleeves. I am in no way against the style of ATL's home jersey. I just can't imagine and have never seen a white jersey looking good with only one sleeve stripe, no matter which colors are used.

As far as a "We're a Thrashers affiliate" third jersey goes, the Wolves came up with something far superior when they initially entered the AHL in '01. Mind you, the Thrashers looked a lot better back then, too.

Well now I know the Wolves are affiliated to the Thrashers.

It's a weird affiliation when the AHL team is more established/successful/popular/committed to winning than the parent club.

I feared for the worst in the subtitle but it doesn't look all that bad. They could stand to drop the stick and puck from the crest, though.

I don't need to know the AHL teams' NHL affiliates via their uniform colors/design, I know I am in the minority on this.

Yes, the Wolves should drop the stick & humungous puck!

Go Wolves!

In tonight's AHL opener, the Chicago Wolves worn their 3rd jerseys which include this configuration shown below.

I don't see why? The right sleeve has a small Wolves logo patch and player's number.

What do you think?

It is different, but I think its well done. I think I'm one of the few on the forum who like the Thrasher's jerseys that this is modelled on.
