Howard Berger posted this blog the other day. He credits the mothership, but incorrectly names it. As well, he raises questions to Chris's motives.

Through the decades, the NHL and its teams have designed numerous splendid logos. The most extensive compilation of these images can be found at Chris Creamer’s terrific website Sportslogos.com, though a Google search of any team or event in league history turns up many of the same. While Chris long ago set the standard for logo websites, it puzzles me as to why he stamps his Internet emblem on a number of NHL designs, given that they are all property of either the league or its individual clubs. With that as the most important piece of information you need to know, I spent the past two weeks gathering as many league-related logos and emblems as I could find and posting them in this blog – as a tribute, mainly, to the NHL and its artistic designers.

This rubbed me the wrong way, but maybe that's just because of my involvement here.

Anyone else have any thoughts?

So he got bored and put all the logos into one long, impossible to read article? What a guy.

He should have just put a link to the main page of the mothership and said "peruse at your convenience".

  • 2 weeks later...

I emailed Howard to answer his claims, he says he cleaned up that paragraph and was quite nice in his responses.

He did however ignore the request I made for him to stop hotlinking the graphics from my server (and therefore upping the cost of the server bills) but did take the time to sign me up for his mailing list... I don't see the option to unsubscribe anywhere.

I wouldn't consider the exchange a win

Looked in that guy's blog.. huh wow damn..

Chris.. is it really expensive to having to deal with hotlinking the graphics from your site to somewhere?? I can imagine that the bill would be more high like apt rent monthly or higher??

In his most recent post, he uses logos, but got them off Wikipedia instead.
