That name wasn't actually my original team name for the Marina Bay baseball team, rather a suggestion from someone on this board. (The original name was the Marina Bay Lizards)Which leads me to another tip: I'll honestly say again that I kinda don't like the minor-league feel of your team names, so I recommend that maybe you let us help out with making your team names sound more realistic, a few teams at a time. Since you say that you've already "built up" your country, you could just tell us the background behind a city and that way, we can help you with suggestions on more realistic names. That's how I ended up with some of my teams, such as the Armada and the Hearts. Hope this can help!And that someone was me! The island is basically used as a large generator for the mainland, the the people of Bree thought an electric-themed name would be fitting.Azure City Armada- Azure City was used as a port for warships when Rylandia had developed from a colony into a country.Sanjangle Swordfighters- A beach city, colonists were attacked by pirates when it was still developing. It is also known as the party city of Rylandia.Jecoaca Justice- The Capitol of Rylandia, and the location of the Supreme Court building.Lavlavil Lava- Lavlavil was founded by Pacific Islanders around the time the eastern part of Rylandia was being colonized. It is located near 3 different dormant volcano. It still has a large population of Pacific Islanders today.Lemoncoppy Lightning- Lemoncoppy is a very Eco-friendly and technologically advanced city. Kind of like Seattle, except the weather is 100% better.Shefford Sherrifs- A south-eastern city where the skies are always beautiful. Historically a crime town.Orland Orions- A homey city of the Deep South, this city is known for it's large space exploration center.Finitopia Flames- Another island city, most famous for a large fire that leveled the city in the late 1800's. Nowadays, it is famous for its marshmallows Coldwater Cannonballs- Like Azure City, this was a large war cite during the developing years. Today, it is a city where the air is mostly smokey and the sky is black and dreary, but the sun does shine occasionally, and when it does, it's absolutely beautiful.Salvatore City Spartans- Located on a small island, many a large battle took place here. It was named after Sir Salvatore, a famous general.Glymack Glory- A cold city, known for its rich history of football. Baseball is often overshadowed. Although it is located in the south, snow is very frequent here.Koya Kryptonite- Like Orland, Koya is very popular for it's astronomy and space exploration. A weird phenomenon, the skies here tend to look blood red every once in a while.Rajcek Royals- Rajcek was the first landing cite of the European explorers. It was named for King Jaromir Rajcek, who sent the explorers to colonize new land.San Niño Slashers- Like Sanjangle, San Niño is a coastal party city. You can literally find great parties in the middle of the street. A rather macabre name, the team was named after Ennis Brown, a ‘slasher’ that terrorized the city in the 70sTarnik Torpedoes- We have a third war city here. Like Azure City and Coldwater, Tarnik was a port city used for naval warfare, at about the time the submarine and the torpedo was invented.Earthmont- A very mysterious city, yet very beautiful in all 4 seasons. Known for the vivid colors of nature, it is located by a meadow and long stream, both popular attractions.Great Towers Gremlins- Like the name suggests, it is a city with the tallest towers in the country. Very modernized, it is known for it's unique architecture and aviation. (because of the aviation thing, I named them the gremlins. It's a twilight zone thing)Skyblue MetroTigers- Although it is not the Capitol, Skyblue is the largest city in the country. It is very futuristic, and as the city name suggests, he weather is always nice.St. Sean Slammers- Kind of a mix of a rural town and a ghetto. Very successful in all sports.Phosphorus Valley Cherries- When the western part of Rylandia was being explored, settlers found fruit and flowers to be abundant. A very pretty city, nowadays it is the land of the hipster. (named after Silicon Valley, CA)Trio Triple Plays- Like Abrii, this team is located in the tri-city area known as Trio.San Pablo Pueblo- A very southern city, it is famous for it's adobes. It was once inhabited by a thriving tribe of Puebla Indians.DelCarmen Diablos- A very wild, southern city. Kind of like Las Vegas. There are two parts- a barren, scorching desert, and a loud casino city. Just like what I did with Los Altos and what NHL did with Washington DC.Lavlavil Islanders- Decided to give the name to the Pacific Islanders since you have another fire-related team name here.Lemoncoppy Innovators- Refers to the advances in the city compared to the rest of the country. Can be abbreviated as the "Novs."Shefford Enforcers - It might be a little league softball team here in my town, but it does sound like a legit name, in my opinion. Orland Orions- Leave as is. Sounds really good to me. Finitopia Embers- Sounds better than Flames in this instance.Coldwater Cannons- The Cannons name could easily fit with the smokey nature of the city.Salvatore City Spartans- Leave as is.Glymack Nobles- Refers to the "nobility" of Glymack sports teams.Koya Cosmos- Goes very well with the space theme. Rajcek Royals- Leave as is. San Niño Fiestas- Goes very well with the party theme and I suppose San Niño was settled by the Spanish...?Tarnik Braves- The brave men and women who served in the armed forces stationed there and elsewhere in Rylandia.Earthmont Mystiques- Refers to the mysterious feeling in Earthmont.*region name* Flyers- The region name (if there is one) would sound better than "Great Towers"; and the Flyers, pretty obvious...Skyblue Metros- Just took out the Tigers and it sounds better.St. Sean Roots- Great sports glory in such a humble place.Phosphorus Valley Splendors- It's a pretty place, after all!Trio Alliance- "Alliance" between the three cities.San Pablo Adobes- Similar to Pueblos, but I just wanted to eliminate the alliteration.Del Carmen Diablos- Leave as is.Hope you consider mine and (probably)notabandwagonfan's suggestions and I hope it helps improve the quality of the team names! You also read my mind- The Marauders was the ‘rough draft’ of Sanjangle and Cosmos was the original name of Koya. GiantsFan, I actually was considering just the Skyblue Tigers, but it could go either way. I am like the Mystiques, Novs, Cannons, and Current. But I have grown very attached to the moniker of the Shockwave, so I am most likely keeping it like that. I'd say that the Novs, Mystiques and Cannons will most likely be the new names.By the way, I am willing to extend the league to 30 teams.
