  1. Been a while since I actually commented on these forums, so I just wanted to come in and say "Suck it, Gary. You lost your precious." ...although I know Meruelo retains the right to reactivate the Coyotes, this has been a long time coming. Cities shouldn't have to bankrupt themselves to keep a sports team afloat. As I say this, my own city of Sudbury, Ontario is putting forth plans to probably demolish and rebuild our own arena using $200 million in loans. FML
  2. Frankly, I'm just happy the SEC doesn't get into the championship game this year. The bias is strong in the selection committee. Hopefully with 12 teams in the playoff going forward, we'll at least see all the Power 5 conference champions make it, with a couple surprises.
  3. Has this ever happened before? Teams representing all 8 possible seeds making the 2nd round? I just noticed, and thought it might be significant. https://ibb.co/fr936h8
  4. If I may be so bold...https://postimg.cc/hfgGsWBV
  5. I'm not going to knock the fervour of the fanbase because the city of St Louis clearly loves their football and hates that it lost its NFL franchise - twice. That is for sure a :censored:ty thing for any sports fan. I'm just talking about winning, tigers.
  6. Just ragging on them because they lost their home game against DC. Tight to the end, but this is my way of turning that St Louis chant on its head.
  7. Just one question: Why no fiesta colours for the Spurs championship balls?
  8. Let it be said now. The Kaw is the FLAW.
  9. I think we might as well just rename this league the Roughnecks Football League starting 2024 (assuming the league survives).
  10. Agreed! Also - let all 10 conference champions qualify for the 12-team expanded playoff. Then let one independent and one championship loser in. It's a "playoff", not a "popularity-off". You win, you should get in.
  11. Everybody do the Michigan rag...
  12. Someone once mentioned a change to the NBA schedule that I liked, so here's another pointless realignment, along with remembering that schedule idea. Pacific Division: Blazers, Lakers, Clippers, Kings, Warriors Midwest Division: Jazz, Suns, Nuggets, Thunder, T-Wolves All other divisions remain the same The idea was: 44 games per season, with a mid-week game and a weekend game each week for 22 weeks. Teams would play the opposite conference once and the same conference home and home, which works out to 43 games, and then one more game against a designated rival. (I figure Minnesota would pair with Chicago or Milwaukee for game #44). Of course, ticket prices would probably increase dramatically to compensate for the lost revenue, and the TV network deals would all have to be scrapped and renegotiated. Alternatively, I would suggest: 80 game season (20 divisional games, 30 conference, 30 cross-conference) Only a slight bump in ticket prices is required here.
  13. Yay Argos win! I hope that Schooners franchise gets here soon though. 2 bye weeks in the first 6 weeks is just awful.
  14. Way to go, Punt-real! Argos win home opener thanks to a missed field goal.
  15. Glad to avoid the sweep, if only to make Embiid cry again.
  16. The Florida Panthers have 57 wins this season. Kill me now.
  17. Yeah. I'm with you there. 23 regulation wins out of 51 games is definitely less than a .500 record.
  18. I guess that's the problem with computing win% to include games where a team has actually lost the game. Looking at those standings, Detroit as well has "won" more games than it has "lost", as have Anaheim and Dallas.
  19. Trust The Process(TM). Oh wait, is this the wrong sport?
  20. 3. It'll give Bearcats fans some form of redemption, if they follow both NFL and college ball.
  21. Nice Raptors win tonight. Enjoy your weekend off, boys.
  22. I wonder how many Bearcats fans are also Bengals fans. This must seem like redemption.
